Even so Mikael-Fernandes your argument is even more flawed. The Devs specifically stated they added DC because they liked PM's stage. This is not the case with Distant Planet, which was added because it was in brawl.

I think Zero's quite likely actually. He is Megaman's second biggest character outside of Dr. Wily and was in SSF1 (though that's not that big of a point really when InuYasha/Mr. Incredible/Blade/Blue were there too). Sonic already has another rep and is likely to get one or two more, so it makes sense for Megaman to get another rep imo. I have faith in Zero.

I have a feeling that Lucas isn't going to be in since he was only in one game from nearly 10 years ago that stil hasn't been released in the West yet, but I don't really have any strong arguments otherwise. It would be a pleasant surprise I guess. It's the same case with Roy for me (even though Roy did appear as DLC in FE Awakening): they both had a lot of support for Smash 4, but there are more notable characters that development time could be directed towards. Ike is more likely as an FE character imo, especially since his gameplay is less similar to Marth's.

I too really really want Greninja (and/or Zoroark, but moreso Greninja) in SSF2. I'm hoping that the expansion system comes through eventually if he doesn't make it by the full release (which he probably won't :[...we don't even have Mewtwo, Lucario, or Charizard/Pokemon Trainer yet).

Also, Game and Watch hasn't had ANY game since the early 80s (G&W Gallery doesn't count) yet he made it into beta.
Lucas may be unlikely, but not for the reasons you stated above, time date doesn't have anything to do with character inclusions (just look at Smash 4's Duck Hunt)

Speaking of Duck Hunt, I'm really hoping for the little bloodhound. Smash 4 really made him just plain lovable. Probably not likely, though.

Olimar, though not necessarily a shoo-in, does have a fair chance; Pikmin is a major Nintendo franchise nowadays, after all, with a fourth game near completion.
