So I was watching the battle between Ash and Tobias in the episode "The Semi-Final Frontier," and I noticed SOMETHING odd about the way Darkrai uses Ice Beam... Look at this...

Look at the way Darkrai is charging Ice Beam. Doesn't that remind you of something?

Yes, it's similar to when Ryu charges up all of his special versions of the Hadoken in Street Fighter 4, the opening to Super Street Fighter II' Turbo, the Street Fighter Alpha games, and the first part of his reveal trailer for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U!

In my opinion you can compare charging Ice Beam to charging of 80% special attacks in manga / anime :)
