i think, in all honestly, they are an OK match against eachother.

Super Saiyan God Goku is either a Solar System buster or a Galaxy buster, which Superman are we using pre-crisis Supes or post-crisis

If Goku has trouble fighting Superman(still unsure if it's pre-crisis or not), he can get help with Eddy(Ed, edd, n eddy), why you ask cause he ate the sun and that's supe's power supply

No offense, but it doesn't matter which Superman we use, Goku still has no chance against him. As long as the Sun's radiation keeps feeding Superman's power, his might will keep growing up to infinity.
And even if you remove the Sun, it will take a long time for his power to fade: In the New 52 continuity, Superman was pressing the weight of the Earth for 5 whole days, and all that time he was on the center of the planet, away of the Yellow Sunlight, and all what he sweated was only 1 drop.
And in his final fight against H'El, he was hitting him so hard that the impact of his punches could be felt from te very center of the Earth (The lab were he was training), all the way to the atmosphere of the planet (The Justice League's Watchtower), and all that time he was on the North Pole, with no Sunlight feeding him.

I do agree Superman can beat Goku either way, it just usually Superman fanboys tend to debunk Goku saying he can only lift 40 tons but that's actually inconsistent due to Goku showing many feats that make him above 40 tons, also you can tell its inconsistent because well...... it's dragon ball

I do agree that Dragon Ball can be inconsistent, but some of them forget that Goku was on the Kai's planet, with 10 times the gravity of Earth, meaning that he was actually lifting 400 tons. And while I admire Superman, I have no trouble admitting that Goku is a very extraordinary challenge for Superman, I didn't knew anything of Goku until I saw him fight Superman, and I must admit, he is quite amazing.

I agree about the 400 tons, I thought that the first time I saw him struggling on 40 tons and I thought wait isn't the planet like 10x stronger than earth, also death battle made mistakes on goku's stats, there is a website called outskirts battledome that tells how strong or fast a fictional character

If you don't read his comic-books and know nothing about him besides his movies and TV Shows, then yeah, he looks like a cheap mary sue.
But if you consider reading his stories instead of judge him only from his vast power, you will look him differently.
