didn't buy the game but I played a decent amount of multiplayer (hit level 22 at a friend's house)

because cortana was created using flesh from Halsey, so she was a clone/AI. She can't be copied the same way normal data can. And they couldn't copy her memories anyway, she had 8 years worth. If they were to copy her they would just be making a rampant AI.

This topic's been dead for ages....might as well say something  Anyway, do you guys prefer Bungie's Halo games or 343's? And what's your favorite song in the series? I liked Bungie's Halo games better because they were more traditional, but 343 is doing a cool job too. For music, I mainly like "117", "Earth City" and "To Galaxy". Most of the other music is nice though. Martin O'Donnell's songs were epic, and Neil Davidge's songs are sweet too.
