Samus is epic. Her balance changes make great. Has a long attack range, but her body has been strunk so she's a smaller target. And her speed is been increase to a more moderate level.

And now I see the point of the two beam variations; Power-Beam is for rush-down and strong combo strings; Ice-Beam is for keep-away and gimp setups.

Ice FAir definitely has more killing options then Fire FAir.
I dunno, they both have their tools, can't jump on which one is better just yet.

Seriously, I keep coming here and I still don't know why this isn't called the Project M topic, nobody is talking about Super Smash Bros. here anymore. Project M is a fan-made mod so it's not Super Smash Bros. at all, well it is, sort of, just not an official one. I just keep wondering when will people point out something about Smash here in this topic that isn't a mod. I'm not complaining, I'm just pointing a curiosity.

Because this is the Main Topic of smash bros, and we're free to talk about anything related to smash, even mods. And Project M is one of the best mods out there and recently got an update. That's why.

Because if someone wants to come around talking about the official Smash games, or even another fanmade Smash project (such as Crusade), this topic can accommodate all of that. Calling it the "Project M topic" would pretty much tell people "This topic is restricted to just Project M discussions" and thats not what this topic is for.

It just so happens that Project M is all anyone here wants to talk about right now. Its not likely to stay that way forever so, there's really no point in changing the name.

How about we talk about how melee is going to be at MLG Anaheim!!!!

@Byllant: For the same reason, but in the opposite way, as why Smash Flash is just a topic doesn't have it's own forum section on Smash Boards; there isn't enough discussion for it to have it's own topic. Posts and discussions arise more whenever there is news or updates about the game; and Project M has posted news and videos weekly for nearly 2 months straight. Before than, talk about P:M was very minimal. When v2.6 was released, their was probably a page and a half of post about it (maybe even less than that). Now that v3.0 is out, I wouldn't be surprised if the P:M discussion here becomes only occasional again after two weeks from now.

If you really want discuss something about the official Smash games, someone has to start it.

so i played project m with four friends and it was pretty great
i like lucario and roy a lot. i somewhat dislike pit but link is even better than before, so is marth.
mewtwo's fun to use just for his final smash alone. i prefer to play without the smash ball and getting his FS is the exact way to get them turned off.

My Wii's SD card slot is broken, but after some experimentation this morning I learned Riivolution can load from USB. The load times are absolutely ridiculous, it's f*** crippling -- but it's the only way I can play the game.

Having Roy and Mewtwo is just really f*** nice, and you can clearly tell they knew what they were doing with balance. I mainly just played as some of the characters I loved and some I hated from Brawl (didn't have time to try them all). The ones I hated generally feel much better (Bowser and especially Ganondorf for example feel like incredible powerhouses), although many of the things I liked about other characters was changed (like Wolf's up smash or Toon Lunk's forward smash)

Still: f***' awesome stuff 10/10. Shame there's no way to make this work on Wii U yet, this + offscreen mode = god DAMN

It works using the hackless method. You just can't use GC controllers, obviously.
