lets hope they get it right this time, the art looks gorgeous
though... i have to say im a little underwhelmed that it isn't a 3-D game, maybe my opinion will change after playing it though
EDIT: looks like Sonic Team isn't involved with Sonic Mania, it's likely that we'll get another reveal later tonight
(i mean lets be honest, Sonic Team surely haven't been working for 3-4 years on Sonic Mania)

New Sonic Lego Dimensions Footage! Also, Brand new Sonic Team game in 2017. From the looks of the trailer, it seems like Sonic Generations 2 is officially confirmed.

seeing classic sonic makes me worried they are gonna bring back the mediocre classic sonic from Sonic Generations. if it's not supposed to be a sequel than that makes me less scared but at the same time. if it turns out to be sonic generations 2 i would just be super dissapointed. because while i like sonic generations i feel like sonic can be more than just Rehashing s***.
not to mention i fear another modern planet wisp

i am beyond happy that they got Tee Lopes to do the music for this game. i have been listening to this song all day it gives off a Sonic CD/Major Magnet vibe but also reminds me so much of the music in sonic After the Sequel i wonder if they got any other fan composers to work on the game. it would be awesome if they got Falk from Sonic ATS on the soundtrack. _________________I AM APPLE

there's people who are like "ugh why are they playing it so safe"
when they try new things, we get s*** like sonic having a sword
or turning into an even furrier sonic
or shadow the hedgehog having a gun
I'll take a polished, well executed rehash over them trying to be original any day
Besides, the game isn't literally going to be Generations 2. They have plenty of opportunities to have level-specific gimmicks and stuff like that instead of one that covers the whole game
