Super Smash Bros for Wii U/3DS

I know, but people always bring out relevancy against Pac-Man in an argument.

Oh and Btw, Little Mac does one thing in his game - Punch. That's it. Yet look, he's a smasher.

Captain Falcon had a full moveset made for him - he had nothing to draw from, but look at him now.

Every character ever confirmed for Smash 4, because Nintendo has nothing better to do them make uninteresting characters unique and interesting.

captain falcon is a bounty hunter
fox is in a futuristic setting (also applies to falco/wolf)
rob is a robot (which is likely easily customizable with weaponry)
ice climbers were based around the first word in their f*** name AND their hammers
ness and lucas are from RPG games
pit has weaponry plus brings an original fighting style (fast and annoying)



any other attempts?

The point was that you guys were pretty much saying Little Mac isn't adding anything to the game since his moves are similar to other characters.
But you know good job on reading the first two sentences.

Lemme play devil's advocate for one second here: in Pac-Man's most recent game, he could turn into a chameleon or an ice Pac. Does he have enough powers to be in a smashy game? Yes. Do you really want him in Smash?

Little Mac was requested. Little Mac uses specific boxing skills. Remember how he powered through Mega Man's blaster just to punch him in the face? You don't even know how any of his moves will differ from the other characters because THE GAME ISN'T EVEN OUT YET.

i do support Pac-Man, because he's a gaming all-star who has plenty of moves and nintendo appearances to warrant a spot. Namco helping with the game also boosts the chance.

Regarding Pac-man's creator, perhaps he's not trying to be a jerk like Kojima and use his friendship with Sakurai to promote his games? That said, he could've very well asked, in private, about it.

Well, since Toru Iwatani doesn't work at Namco anymore, he might not have the right to ask anymore.

(Sigh) In order of response...
To Kuro's points: The point of that was to stop this dumb argument that Pac-Man doesn't or can't have anything new. The characters I mentioned all have things in Smash that weren't in their original games, so creative license was taken to give them more variety than what they had in their own games. If they were based around what made them iconic as Nintendo characters, I guarantee you Smash would be an entirely different type of game. But because they were not locked into exactly who they were in their own games, they had potential to be greater fighters.

Plus, the eating thing still has more options. Just look at what SSF2 did with it. Heavy Knockback with killing potential, which is something that's core to Smash, but not featured by anyone fond of using their mouth as a weapon. Boom. And with regards to Olimar and Ice Climbers, I was making it sounds like a bad pitch because if left barebonesy, it IS a bad pitch. In the ONLY Ice Climber game you controlled one unlucky stooge who could swing a hammer and jump. Gotta improvise on that, and they did it marvelously and Ice Climbers are a stellar character because of it. In Olimar's case, maybe I did grossly underexaggerate. My personal experiences with both Pikmin and Olimar in Smash were met with the same heaving sigh of boredom. :I
I HATE playing Pikmin...

Deciton: Okay... My final word on Pac-Man, because I'm against him in the game a well, I just wanted to convey that every rejected character is lost potential. We know the Rev Roll, Butt Bounce, Chomp/Bite/whatever, and Pellet Shots, and I saw Dot Chain here, which isn't a bad idea. He also has a special Flip Kick move, which could make for a great recovery. But he can be improvised further: because he can electrify his pellets, there's potential for changing the nature of his abilities on the fly. Rev Roll becomes Shock Roll, Flip Kick can let loose a shockwave, Pellet Shot becomes Electric Shot, Butt Bounce becomes some charged-electrified slam. He's got this thing called Red Ribbon, which makes him glow bright and ups his speed so he can surround enemies in damaging energy. Bend the physics of it a little bit, you've got a pretty good command grab. Hell, electrify that. Variant command grab, possibly a good stun setup. There's your possible discussion, guided by your true friend who goes by the name Improvisation.

Hmm... Snake's relevance? He was in a Smash game. Relevenat enough for me, but I'm not running Nintendo. I'm still positive he'll return at any rate.
