Title: Prove you're worthy!

In-Game Description: Looks like the original twelve are not so happy with a certain inclusion... Will you withstand the power of the classic veterans?
Players: Sandbag (P1) vs :mario: :donkeykong: :link: :samus: :yoshi: :fox: :kirby: :pikachu: :luigi: :captainfalcon: :ness: :jigglypuff: (CPU)
Rules: Sandbag has one stock. 5 minutes total. Three characters at a time. (Not sure if entirely possible, just an idea).
Stage: Waiting Room
Items: Smash Ball (appears only when 1 CPU character is left).
Terms of Victory: Defeat all your opponents before time runs out. Use the Smash Ball to finish off the last opponent.
Terms of Failure: Sandbag gets K.O.'d
Additional Details: Every character has a different set difficulty. Mario, Link, Samus, and Fox are Level 9. Kirby, Captain Falcon, and DK are Level 8. Luigi is Level 5. The remaining are Level 7.

Don't you think that might be a little... excessive?
  • Canon event matches only have opponents level 5-6. Even "The Showdown".
  • Even without the level problem, twelve opponents against one stock would be Cruel Smash levels of unforgiving. Worse, even, since Sandbag can't grab (/abuse) ledges.
  • Even without the difficulty problem, fighting twelve opponents would be just plain lengthy unless said opponents had altered knockback. And giving them altered knockback would make the "must finish with a Final Smash" condition harder.

The point of it was to be excessive. The whole concept of it was to be hard. Maybe you're right in putting this in terms of Cruel Smash, but I feel like this event could reward something truly special to those who manage to complete it. (Eh, about the canon events, I think I exaggerated with the levels. They could be reduced to match the standards, but remember this is intended to be really hard to complete).

Can you please not be so overly negative on people's ideas?
Also, All-Star Events in Melee, Brawl and Smash 4 clearly prove an event like this would be possible. Also, considering how bad the CPUs are in this game, Level 7 would not be much of a treat.
Gosh.

Title: "I've got PAC-MAN Fever!"

In-Game Description: Pac-Man is back! And it seems he's got a few fans...

Players:
P1: Pac-Man, default costume
P2: CPU-Pac-Man, Level 7, Green Costume "Orson". Works alongside Pac-Man to beat the other fans.
P3: CPU Pac-Man, Level 5, Red Costume "Blinky"
P4: CPU Pac-Man, Level 4, Sky Blue Costume "Inky"
P5: CPU Pac-Man, Level 4, Pink Costume "Pinky"
P6: CPU Pac-Man, Level 3, Orange Costume "Clyde"
P7: CPU Pac-Man, Level 4, Purple Costume "Sue"
P8: CPU-Pac-Man, Level 4, Black/Grey Costume "Spunky"

Rules:
Player: 3-Stocks. All the CPUs: 1-stock.
Hazards On. Team Battle between P1 & P2 versus P3-P8

Stage: Pac-Land

Terms of Victory: Defeat all the opposing Pacs.

Terms of Failure: Die

Additional Details: All CPUs have special behaviors to reflect the ghosts.
P3 is faster and more aggresive, always chases Pac-Man.
P4 often stays with the other CPUs and tends to attack at the same time as the others.
P5 is more strategic and will often try to put Pac-Man into combos. Also tends to spam Hydrants.
P6 has no friggin idea about what is he doing. He will often try to evade Pac-Man and is the easiest to defeat.
P7 is more slow and doesn't attack frequently, but when he does, he often uses finishing attacks such as Smash-attacks among others.
P8 mostly jumps and uses aerial attacks. (Reference to Spunky's attack in Pac-Mania, in which she jumps).
P2 always helps Pac.

(P5-P8 spawn whenever the P3 or P4 slots are KO'd, obviously because this game only allows up to 4 players)
Waka.

Marry me :chibirobo:
Also I don't think PAC-MAN has a Spunky Costume currently
Oddly enough, he has 3 Blues
Inky, TURN-TO-BLUE and then just a Dark Blue coloration
Lookin' like Brawl Sonic :chibirobo:

Okay. That's actually really good news.

I suspect I still won't be able to get a much better connection than I have in v0.9b no matter how much the netcode improves, and I'm not going to have nearly as much time to study the competitive aspects next year since I've got other things to work at. So the more there is to do for a casual single-player scrub like moi, the better.

I agree!
Considering my internet is not only terrible as it already is, but the internet router is kindof on the complete opposite end of my house.
Needless to say, my connection sucks. :chibirobo:
So having more things to do in Single-Player is great!
Classic Mode, Event Mode, the new BTT Stages for everyone, all that stuff!
I love it, it's great.
Albeit considering things like the Peril Roulette (Which I really hope there's a way to do the hardest difficulties without that, atleast as an option, please?) and MCG sayin' that Events will be hard as hell
I'll be a 50/50 between joyful and throwing bob-ombs everywhere :chibirobo:
