Alright, this may sound surreal and idiotic and may not happen....
Since an Admin ain't here all the time, why not have the option to change your own username.
This will reduce the need for a lot of steps, and a Name Change topic.

Only one con has been found by me:
Inappropriate names. (Also why it "may sound surreal and idiotic and may not happen....")

It's probably not in use because people would most likely abuse the option with constant name changes

Not to mention the admins would have to hound members that would make names to bypass any words they may ban.

Not to mention it would make moderating a whole hell of a lot more of a headache.

I've said no to this for awhile now, it would lead to to much potential confusion, so it's better to limit name changes to prevent abuse.
