Sorry if this is a noobish/stupid question but how the heck do I start it up? I've tried using the run icon but it doesn't work it just tries to load up a video player that says I don't have the program needed to run this. So I did what the read me said to convert to .swf and drag it to my browser which just keeps trying to download it again whenever I do so. Sorry if this is stupid but could someone help me?

I assume you are using Ubuntu with Firefox when I answer this question.

When you open the download, there is an executable that says SSF2. Right click on it and select properties. From there select Permissions, and at the bottom, a checkbox that says Mark as Executable should be there. Click that checkbox.

You should be able to run it now.

Alternately, you can mark the same checkbox to fp in the data folder and run that.


If none of this works, rename SSF2 to SSF2.sh.

It tells me there's no application for the executable file and turning it into sh just shows up a greyed out program popping up.

3. What actually happens when you start the game (screenshots!!!)

Ubuntu LTS 14 SP1 64-bit. Got it.

Screenshots of the issue? I've made it work in LTS 12 SP4 before, as well as Fedora 19.

I am aware that most linux executables are arch dependent, and the SSF2 executable is for 32-bit systems.

The first image is just clicking the SSF2 File, there is no program to execute it with so the system just tries to use a video player

The second image is dragging the run.swf file to GoogleChrome which does not work because Chrome just tries to save and redownload it.

The third image is using the run.sh

The fourth is a repeat of the second image's problem only with FireFox this time

Would there be an executable file for 64?

Try running fp in the data folder, and dragging the run (not run.sh) to the window spawned by fp. If it fails, update your Flash.

It's still the same result with picture one in the screenshots I've sent you above. I've also downloaded and updated flash again, nada, nothing is currently working. Is there any Standalone working flash player I could use for 64 bit? I've been looking for a working one for a while, because I thought that was the solution, so far most the flash players that are standalone are only available for 32 bit.

Because Flash Player is under the assumption that 32-bit works in all 64-bit systems.

2. Linux is arch-dependent, so it wouldn't anyway.

At this point I'd suggest either using the browser version or using a 32-bit OS.

Requesting the devteam compile a 64-bit Linux build.

(As far as I can tell there is no 64-bit Flash projector which prevents us from compiling a 64-bit build)
