Character backstory: A trainer who lives in new bark town who is a pretty skilled pokemon trainer and enjoys playing with his pokemon and battling&doing pokemon contests.

After the week long ride on the S.S. Mystery many passengers are bored out of their wits. Only the occasional battle keeps everyone active, but most trainers are bored of that too. But then a large fog bank comes into view, and there is a commotion on the starboard bow. Those who make it there can see a gray haired man in a brown trench catch a small shark like pokemon, a white crystal in it's back.

Just then the captain's voice comes over the intercom, "Oh wow! Quite a bit of excitement! And just as we are about to reach Atlantica too!"

The intercom fuzzes for a moment as the ship passes through the fog, but quickly returns as a lush a beautiful landscape comes into view. The right hand side, the east, covered in a dense forest. The far away south, a large almost spiraling mountain range. And coming closer north a desert tapering into a rolling hill land, and finally a beach with a rough looking town adorning it.
