Maybe he should try and make a Super Meat Boy HD or something, throw in some more levels and s***, produce it for the Wii U, and then start b**** about having his character represented. It's sad that he couldn't arrange a game release on the Wii, but they're not gonna give him any special favors just because he put in a strongly worded interview. Just pick yourself up and try again.


Now that I think about it, this is the same Edmund McMillen who gave free copies of Meat Boy to whoever could make the best picture of him naked, so it could just all be wacky indie publicity.

I love how everyone is raging about a very casually worded interview that has an only fringe relevance to the thread at best.

But for the sake of humoring this man, how do you guys think Super Meat Boy would function in SSB4 IF he got in?

When he runs he leaves a trail of blood behind him. Running on the blood causes your character to trip.

He dies in one hit.

But in comparison to the many requested characters people want in a Smash Brothers game: Meat Boy is nowhere associated with Nintendo at all. For f*** sake, he's not even on a nintendo console yet.

The indie developer is basically saying (with alot of disrespect) that he'll start making nintendo games if the character gets placed in Smash Brothers 4, right when you consider back then in the past that Super Meat Boy (which was supposed to be for both XBLA and WiiWare) only made it's way to the XBLA and the WiiWare version was cancelled due to the Wiiware's file limit... And rather than trying to cut off and make it a very decent version or near as the XBLA version for the game, it got cancelled and Edmund called the Wiiware version "s***"...

Now think of that and you tell me if Meat Boy still has a chance in Smash Brothers 4... Cause i'm quite curious as to what chance he could possibly have to place Meat Boy in SSB4.

I'm actually pretty sure I saw Meat Boy in the 3DS eShop yesterday for some reason

I can't find it now though so I might've just been crazy / high from medication still

On the subject of Meat Boy:

I would see him >ONLY< as DLC of some sort >AFTER< the game has been out for a >FEW YEARS< and he has >MULTIPLE< games on Nintendo systems.

Even that is not going to happen.

Nobody would ever make DLC for a game under those circumstances, as far as I'm aware.. Except Bethesda, but only for PS3.
