Not really, you look at movies, there are more cases in which the human survives than the car (even if it is because the human has the sense to escape).

Because movies capture reality

your argument would have held weight if you had not mentioned movies.

Really, cars? At a time like this all you can think of is cars! Yes, this does have something to do with the fact my parents didn't buy me one...

My dad wanted to buy me a Lotus Elise as a graduation present. Turned it down. I may like cars, but I don't like driving in Bangkok traffic.

a) Your dad must have alot of spare change lying around to offer to buy one of those.
b) Is Bangkok traffic that bad?

a) I think he wanted to buy it on a whim. I'm not that well off.
b) Yes. Sometimes you can take a powernap to wake up without having moved a f*** inch forward.

Just to get to the Victory Monument (practically all the bus lines and minivans pass by there) would take an hour by four wheeled transport. I just take the BTS (sky train). Of course, when its more open country road, like, say the ones in Rayong where my grandfather has a rubber plantation, those are nice and open to drive. That and have you seen the gas prices?

Nope. Haven't seen the gas prices. Are they high?

Also, you have a Skytrain near you?
Awesome.

The gas prices would make my living expenses explode.

Its a half hour ride by bus. That's not very close in my opinion.

And being your typical middle class family, my parents own an automatic MPV. You wouldn't catch me driving that on a public road unless my parents forced me to.

I do a half-hour trip on a bus twice every buisness day, so half an hour's ride isn't very much.
Gas prices here are about...$1.35 (AU) per litre here.
...a MPV? o_o
