There we go

More fixes on the units will come down the road, but will most likely be done after I finish a new unit

Are you going to turn them into plastic cards or just print them?

Probably just print, but I have extra strong paper. It'll be a while before I can print stuff tho since I have to finish the map and 2 more units first.

Sorry for the art spam but here is what I think the final design of the Mech class'll be;

Its name is Bumper MK II.

Bumper MK II itself is finished bar some touch-ups, now all I need to do is finish his weapon, the Kraftwerk, and then I can move on to the next unit.

Yes the Kraftwerk looks nice, but it is missing the charm the others have.

You want these guys to fit together, so I would suggest changing up the pose, or the size on the guy.

All the other units mainly follow more classic fantasy design tropes whilst the Bumper MK II is more of a steampunk robot, so up to a certain degree I think it'll always stand out. This was my intention though, because I felt that the other units all largely followed the same type of design and I wanted a robot to shake things up. Similair to Fire Emblem I decided not to handle a 'set size' for each unit but rather use a size that it appropriate for each class. Bumper MK II is a defender/berserker class, so I figured it'd be appropriate to make him appear as a big, bulky and clunky-looking robot.

I don't think I'll be changing the pose and/or size, but I am interested in hearing why you think Bumper MK II lacks the charm the others have, since I might be able to consider adjustements based on that.

Right now I want every unit to feel different from eachother, which is why, similair to Team Foretress 2, I work with less units so that players can better explore what they prefer. I do want to add more units down the line but for the time being I will focus on 6 basic units; Knight, Mage, Ninja, Alchemist, Mech and Sharpshooter. This way I can ensure that each unit is both visually and mechanically different.

Since the board game is basically 'Fire Emblem VS.: The board game' I think it's pretty important that players can easily tell what each unit is supposed to do and what kind of role they can fulfil in a players' team.

It might be because everyone else has a clear expression on the face, even the Ninja does. The only thing that shows expression on the robot is the arms. Maybe change the eyes someway?

Also what happened to that whole Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap styled project? I'd love to see more out of that.

I think in the near future I'll be attempting to make a new set of eyes of the Bumper Mark II then, maybe try a couple of different things and see what stands out.

You'll see certain aspects of that project incorporated into this project, like the way I did tiles back then, but I havent gotten to the map yet, as I want to finish the units themselves first.

-----------------------------------------------------------
Speaking thereof, I'd like to take a shot at streaming that if anyone'd be interested in that. Or maybe get a Google Hangout together so that we can stream multiple spriters screensharing work or so. Would any of you be interested in checking that out? I'd be working on the Sharpshooter unit, and I'll be spriting her from the ground up.

An edit of Axel Low's sprite from Guilty Gear to update his design to more recent interpretations. I took some liberty with the smaller details, and decided to ditch the shorts because I don't like shorts.

I will post the original sprite later, but for the time being it might be more interesting to see the edit without the original so that you can better judge with parts are less cohesive in terms of style.
