The cast for Xillia wasn't that bad minus Tipo and Gauis :[
But I kinda have hopes that they won't screw Ludger over, by the way Xillia 2's leveling system is much better than Xillia's with how they incorporate the Corpse ShellDungeons.

i was neutral with teepo, gaius was pretty badass. leia was the annoying one for me.

IMO Milla was the worst one, the actor playing her just sounded like she didnt care. I guess thats what they were going for, but eh, just didnt sound that great to me. I like her voice, but it just sounded like it had no energy.

Since it's a good series and each game brings something new to the table with a unique gameplay system, each game has a pretty nice selection of main characters to choose from and each one has a fresh style.

Don't listen to Yoh, He's had sex with every Tales game in existence. Just go buy one and try it. I recommend either Tales of Symphonia(For the gamecube), Tales of the Abyss(For the PS2/3DS) or Tales of Vesperia(For the Xbox 360)

Yeah but I would reccomend him to play the PS1 version with the translation patch from Cless that one is the best currently translated.
The PSP remake with Narkari dungeon X is the better version but it has no translation patch other than one that was being made by some guy named Kevvsa or something.
