I don't see why Peach wouldn't be in. She's the most well-known female character in the Mario series, and she's been in the past 2 smash bros. games.

As I said, Peach is most likely to be scrapped, Rosalina, Ghirahim, K. Rool, and Ridley are inevitably getting in, Link gets a huge buff, and Ganondorf may be replaced. Rosalina and Ghirahim would need very little editing, and they'll fit right in.

Just wait. You'll see. Haven't you guys even remembered that:
1. A Wii U and 3DS version, both transferrable to each other. So, there are going to be much more characters (maybe up to 50)
2. Possible character creation.
3. Downloadable Content.

Void, if a person can hack Brawl completely, they can do it to Melee, let alone put Melee characters in Brawl, and so on. Anyways, I have other matters, so I can barely work on my stuff.

Sakurai is in the first steps (as of May 2012) of the creation of the game, meaning title, stages, and characters. He also stated adding 1 or 2 Capcom characters. Go to Super Smash Bros. (Wii U/3DS) on Wikipedia. The entire title on the search. Project Sora and Namco Bandai are working together for this game.

Peach is losing popularity in the series since Super Mario Galaxy and Mario Kart Double Dash!!.

Peach isn't used much in Melee, and even less in Brawl, 'cuz she sucks. It's time to bring a new female character to the fray.

In Mario Kart Double Dash!!, Peach, Daisy, and Toadette were the only female characters iirc.
I'm sure there's no way in hell that Rosalina is more popular than Peach. Peach has been around for well over 20 years. Rosalina's been around for not even half that.
I'm sure if she was getting cut, it would be all over the f*** internet right now. I highly doubt you'd be the only person to mention it. Even if you were the only English-speaking person there, I'm sure someone Japanese would have posted about it, then someone who knew both languages would translate it.
And, wait, wait, let me get this s*** straight--from your claims, and I'm not saying I believe them--they're getting rid of Peach and adding a Resident Evil character. It just so happens to be the franchise your avatar is from, and obviously, they prioritize Resident Evil, which really isn't dominant on Nintendo systems, over Mega Man, of whom has countless games on them. Nonononono, that's not gonna happen.
Then let's follow this up with the fact that IF this happened, Peach being cut would be one of the first announcements. ..Yeah, I'm sorry to say, I don't think that'd happen. If anything, they'd probably announce someone being added or ensuring something about the main 12 characters.

Just because you think she sucks doesn't mean everyone else in the world does, you don't speak for everyone. Rosalina could probably be another Peach alt costume/color scheme, but I don't see her replacing Peach whatsoever.

I do agree however that it is time to bring a new female character into Smash, that's from another series.

Unlike him, I like Peach as a main in Melee, and want her in 4. If anything, she should buff up at least 2%, Link actually buffing up 120%. But, instead of replacing (Lucario not included), add up. I really would love to see the 5 Melee characters that weren't in Brawl in SSB4.
