Well minus the dumb DLC stuff, this game does a lot good but then does even more bad than good.
Gameplay wise, early on it starts off real good you don't have to rely on Kamui/Fusion and characters can do a good deal of damage and have freedom in gameplay it feels like a smoother Graces. And after the first couple of boss fights things start turning into use Kamui/Fusion to win because all the bosses are HP sponges and will OHKO you if you're not fused, just because your stats are s*** without fusion (I wasn't really bothered for a while but until we got midway in the game it became near impossible to do some boss fights without cheesing the game) it doesn't help that if your one of the 4 spirits in the game you get the most limited a** moveset ever, and if you're a human you get no spells unless fused. Zestiria had a lot of good concepts but they somehow manage to f*** a lot of it up.

Some of the good things about the game is that some of Graces bad mechanics they improved on like you can advance your A-Arte tree by side stepping, and the further you are in your arte tree the faster the spell casting will be and this games combo's will rely a lot on A-artes to spells or spell cancelling.

Also the multiplayer camera is horrible, may actually be worse than Symphonia at times.

So i heard a rumor that they're planning to make a ps4 version of this, is that true?

very possible it was just a mistake because let's face it: PS3 exclusive games are pretty much done at this point, everything is gonna be multi-plat or PS4 only

The camera is complete trash, and multiplayer gets screwed over because of fusion, it has the same effect as the f*** linking in Xillia series.

Real shame that is. Though if you play with only 2 people (which i usually do when playing multi) then the fusion gimmick is not much of a problem. I just wish the fusions had larger movesets, hell i wish everyone had larger movesets.

So i wonder with the Alicia DLC, are they gonna make another episode, or is this meant to make way for a sequel?

Well if you do multiplayer I'd suggest make some decisions on where to fight because closed corridors will seriously make the 2nd players life hell, also slanted area's on the maps make some spells miss.

I do agree with you on the arte lists it's piss poor compared to every other game in the series and the Alicia DLC probably stopped because of the huge backlash in Japan lol. Just look at Amazon reviews and how the Japanese fanbase wants Baba fired.

You're not the only one I downright hate her design man. I completely don't like anything about it it screams nothing pirate like. She looks as if she came straight out of Phantasy Star Online 2 with that skimpy outfit, hell if you're going to be a pirate at least have something Pirate-like. When we saw Chat and Patty in PSO2 at least I knew they had something to do with Pirates.

I never really had a chance to watch any of the Tales animations before, so I really dont know what to think of this one.

Well honestly as long as this one has good fight scenes I'll enjoy it.
