actually spec ops the line helped me understand one of the issues people have with seeing video games as art

you have to play a pretty average first-glance generic war shootan game to experience it

an easy way to check is to look at what demographic the game caters to

I woke up to find that the new version of SSF2 wasn't released while I slept. I now feel both relieved that I didn't miss it and impatient.

To me art is defined by creative and emotionally expression. Most games are developed as products. A lot of music is developed as a product. Same with movies blah blah.
I think for something to be called art it matters not what it is exactly but what the process was.
