That's not the moveset's fault, that's a design choice. Say it's a s*** design choice, because the moveset itself is functional and fun regardless of similarities to Falcon.

Mother/EarthBound has had three main game releases; has two characters reps.
StarFox has had five main game releases; has three reps.

F-zero has had eight main games, Metroid has ten; both still have only "one" character to represent their series. This is the fourth game so I just really feel those series deserve at least one more character (not a character in a different form) by now. It just feels odd they are so neglected.

I agree on Metroid even though it has 2 reps not 1.
The thing about F-Zero is that it's a racing game that hasn't had a game since the GBA. I think Falcon reps the series just fine right now.

They seemed to have changed Bowser significantly and they're making a lot of changes as far as taking the character back to their roots goes. Maybe Ganondorf will get some of that treatment if he gets revealed.
