Anyone think that Issac and/or Matthew will become playable?(Golden Sun and Golden Sun: Dark Dawn respectively)

I can actually see Issac having a chance to become a playable character, since he was an assist trophy in Brawl. He is also a very popular 2nd party character. (I think.)

Issac would be fun to play as if he gets in, even if I never played any Golden Sun games, his assist trophy move was neat.

Not really. Peach has been shown to be quite battle-savvy in several games in the past, and the Ice Climbers are both equipped with large mallets.

I'm likening them to that "innocent charm" quality.

Point being, Animal Crossers are also armed with an arsenal of tools, like an axe, a slingshot, a shovel, etc. Princess Peach is armed with sports equipment (tennis racket, golf club) and frying pan. The IC's hammers are for crushing ice and clubbing enemies.

First time I've seen Peach take care of herself was in Super Princess Peach, which came out long after her SSB debut.

The Animal Crossing characters have never been in fights, the AC series (Or remakes, whatever you're going to call them..) are not games with combat. Ice Climber involved combat, and the Mario series is about smashing in the heads of defenseless mushroom-cupcake hybrids, as well as abusing turtles.

Peach is a playable character in SMB2 USA, and Super Mario RPG, granted they're not main series games, but they still count in the Mario franchise. She fights in both games.

What about R.O.B. or Mr. Game & Watch? I don't remember them fighting in their games.

ROB and G&W were put in for Nostalgia/Novelty reasons most likely.

By that logic though, they might as well make the Visual Boy Advance a character as well, and have it be the worst one.

I just hope Namco brings either older techs from previous titles to bring back its fighting game estique.

There were also some Brawl kinks that keep me from playing the game for more than 12 minutes now; knockback cancelled via airdodge/pretty sure there was something else I'm forgetting too, shield stability(referring to how you could easily slip off the stage), jab locking, auto ledge grabs and just the general delay of controlling your character. Things like tripping force you to rely slightly more on walking than running in certain situations (and you're looking at a player who can trip just by tipping the control stick at the start of the match) and I find that pretty ludicrous.

Oh, and speed the game up too.

Airdodging does NOT cancel knockback, it just allows you to DI sooner.

They don't look innocent however... Plus, wasn't Legend of Zelda on a Game & Watch?

Thanks for bringing that up (I don't play Brawl competitively anymore so my knowledge is somewhat lacking), but that's my number 1 kink with the game itself.

I believe the amount of DI provided within the game's engine should be controlled by something. The feature itself has productive uses, but the overuse of the feature contributes to long, boring matches that should not last as long as they should.

Oh, and please watch the tone in your posts because the added "NOT" struck off as if I did something entirely wrong. I'm a human being capable of being corrected, not that this has any relevancy to my or your post's discussion so I'll just leave it be.

Yeah, good point. I don't think the game stared Mr. Game & Watch though, just a little ink dude that looked like Link. So, technically, Mr. Game & Watch did not fight in that game.
