material things might only get you "so far" but that far is a pretty good distance

what is growing up?

well i mean just like my parents had books and records or whatever, i have anime and video games
i dont enjoy too much else in the world so i predict that these will remain my hobbies :>

Perhaps it's just me, but I don't see those as very fulfilling hobbies. They're just passive things that allow you to lie around and do nothing productive. They're both fine in moderation as a way to chill, but to see them as hobbies is too extreme, because hobbies are meant to engage, not to pacify.

Classic examples of hobbies are:

Sports and recreation, collecting, art, modeling, cooking, gardening

Creative pursuits that fulfill the individual and require work to perform.
Video games require one to sit down and press buttons. Yes, I enjoy them, but I do not consider them my hobby, nor do I believe they are applicable as one unless you program in your spare time, which would then be a hobby.

The act of collecting the game is a hobby, playing it is not.

"The act of collecting art is a hobby, admiring it is not."
"The act of collecting birds is a hobby, watching them it is not."
"The act of collecting celestial bodies is a hobby, admiring them is not."

thats you. thats what you sound like
there are observational hobbies you know; playing a video game is equivalent to bird watching or astrology, except in video games you participate with your hands as well

Video games are entirely passive and require no effort on the individual to do anything. Bird watching or Star watching requires at least minimal effort and study in order to find things and enjoy them.

I have and megaman isn't hard and requires little more skill than memorization.

Ye vidya games require skill(which requires effort), that's why there's pros and there's n00bs.

Try to 360 no-scope.
