UPDATE!
Probably depends on the country. Also. Lots of work getting done. Hopefully if this takes off well this will turn into a rather big thing. Hope to post more soon.

Hello people! My name is Sersei! And I'm nice... ish... sorta... >_>; I just popped in to say that I'm a friend of some of the people involved in this and have saw fit to butt my way in, classically of course ^^ So um... yeah... this introduction went so much better in my head .__. i've already got my character pretty much laid out
is there a limit to how powerful they can be?
i was planning to have a pretty strong mage/psionic lady with some serious noggin issues

This looks like quite a bit of fun. Might I inquire as to whether there are any guidelines for race creation? I'm not certain of anything regarding my character at this point, but it would be nice to know. Can they range from asexual zebra/troglodyte cave-dwelling faeries to boneless piles of tusked, diseased flesh, or should we stick mainly to established fantasy races or minor variations thereof?

Power for your character will have to be within limits of the stat system i'm putting in place. While there will not be roles. It will cap abilities and determine what can be done within reason. If you're making a custom race. I'd recommend posting something quite detailed. Going into general physical appearance, culture. Area that they hail from. How common they are. ECT. On top of it, one of the DMs would have to approve it. UPDATE!
Most of the nations are created. We're ironing out details and plot work. We're almost ready to launch. :3
Don't expect it this week or next. Semesters are hell, but I'm letting you know we're nearing completetion.
