1. He does, his mains said it ask literally any pro player they will that he sucks, 2.Side b IS a command grab you're high? 3. he didn't nothing about gangplank galleon being legal.

The more I play Luffy the stronger I think he actually is. He's pretty good and very useful in Cruel Smash

Luffy is my 2nd main and tbh the only thing is wish for is a different neutral B. something about a longer grab would be better as a actual grab.

Actually his grab is nice, but it has endlag for obvious reasons.

I think Luffy's command grabs are great, it makes him dynamic, unique and separates him from brawlers like Naruto and Goku. The only thing he needs is a bit more killing power because his extended hurtboxes can hinder him from capitalizing on an opening with a grab. Therefore, when he does get in and combo, he needs a slightly higher chance of finishing off things.

Neutral-b is just his regular grab, but under the novelty that it's extended and can be used in mid-air. It's the equivalent of making Samus' z-air a B move. You could easily turn his neutral-b into his regular grab and almost nothing would be different (of course from the fact that he'd need a new neutral-b). Side-b's alright, but it also feels like an extension of neutral-b. Not really much to say about it other than the fact that it's just a move. Nothing more, nothing less. Up-b's inception makes sense considering the fact that Luffy can't fly without the use of Gear 4th, but it too also feels like an extension of neutral-b, but aimed up. It's not even original to One Piece Call him unique all you want, but calling him dynamic would just be a lie. I can definitely agree that they could just make his neutral b his normal grab and turn neutral b into something else like a Gear 3 move or even Jet pistol, if they don't plan on implementing Gear 2nd into his Final Smash. Other than that though, im fine with how he is moveset wise

That's why many people wants him to be the worst of the worst technique user throughout ssf2.
