"whatever comes along"? what is "whatever comes along"? >> I'd personally save it up for neither; I'd instead save all my money to go to an anime convention with my friends; use the rest to buy whatever you feel fit to at the con...or wear the cosplay outfit to the con, lol You can just watch your anime and read your manga online to save your cash in the meantime. When you go to an anime convention, you might find something so truly awesome that you probably won't grow out of. But yeah, if you really don't cosplay and don't plan on doing so for any particularly good reason, don't. likewise save your money up to buy Revoltech figurines and then pose them really cool and stuff. My girlfriend bought me a Professor Layton Revoltech figurine and it's it's so fun making him do all sorts of Laytony stuff ;_;

"Whatever comes along" is whatever... well, comes along. If a costume party just so happens to go on, I'll use the cosplay. If it's some sort of dance, might use it there too. No anime stuff tends to happen around here. I also watch my anime online anyway.

Refer to the first post I made in this topic that you seemed to have ignored.

I decided to go with figures and the such.
Already have 10 Death Note figures coming. One metallic version of a character, one normal one.
So yeah, Cosplay comes after I get a bit of merchandise. I should probably buy it when I'm fully grown so I don't have to worry about sizes.

I told you when you started this thread- never trust the future to be static! There is no guarantee you will even be interested in all of this junk when you're older, so don't put all your chips down just yet! Besides, guys don't really stop growing until 18-20! Are you really gonna wait that long just to party it up with like-minded individuals?!

Well, it wouldn't make sense to buy the cosplay now, as growing will make it too small.

My friends do, I don't see anything wrong with it. Unless they crossdress.

If you're going to do Vocaloid, Rin/Len is a better idea.

I was going for Ted. Then again, he's an Otauloid.
