the dub is f*** godawful too

uhhh i dunno if you noticed but there have been like 6 Fire Emblem games (soon to be 7.6 or something) localized total and Fire Emblem 7 isn't the most popular one out there



and i'll add the lack of japanese dub to "things that i don't mind are not in the game"

and you know, you will care when you actually hear how f*** awful the dub is, but whatever

i dunno, i just find it a little silly to be cancelling preorders over the lack of face-touching and Nihongo words

it's not like they removed a whole chapter to the game. there are dumber things about FE:Fates, like the two-cartridge s***, recycled characters (which apparently isn't an issue???), and awfully-written characters (Pieri is f*** terrible). or the dumb direction the series has taken with bouncy tits and an emphasis on bland anime trope characters.

i don't know if it's the case with Fates, but Awakening's supports were Fire Emblem: The Sitcom, and a lot of them didn't really do much for the characters. Lucina has some issues like, once regarding fashion and it's never brought up again. Path of Radiance on the other hand has amazing supports, like holy s***, they actually give the characters a background instead of "oh hi im from the future and i like to flirt with women and dance"

why are you spending that long complaining about Fates when your entire point is "i'm going to buy it anyway"

Because the popularity, and not being the first one* was totally my point, of course. Who even cares about the origins of the franchise as long as the newer games are prettier.

As for no Japanese audio, that's the kind of "content" that can be cut, if that "cut" is actually a replacement. Even if the replacement is of "lower" quality, the whole point is it's the english version, so you get english. It's not like you see the Japanese complaining about the "exclusive content" that is the english dub.

Awakening was dual-audio. Why isn't this? That's what the issue is.

Don't say "cart size limitations", we live in the year 2016. They could easily offer it as free DLC if it really doesn't fit on the cart, like some Vita games do. They won't do that, though. That'd be something the consumers actually want, and we can't have that from Nintendo.

Wouldn't be surprised if the only reason they don't include the original audio is because their s*** translation doesn't match up with it even closely

I'm not seeing any hype here. Just a total lack of hype. A hype vacuum that draws in people's expectations and hopes and leaves only an absence.

Well the truth is that there's more hype than not, people complaining like children are a loud minority. No dual audio is stupid since it was in awakening, but the petting thing, a feature that really shouldn't have been in the first place, that's something FE fans really shouldn't care about because you know, it's a tactical RPG not a dating sim despite the style they're going for
