I agree, and that probably is more likely. But I'm just trying to think outside the box.

Are the devs going to keep their original concept of mini-planets in the style of Kingdom Hearts, or is that not happening anymore? Also, I wonder if the final boss will be something along the lines of Giga Bowser or Master Core....
