No it doesn't. (Though it's side tourney at Evo wasn't too bad.)

Overall, Skullgirls is popular with enough people playing to have a scene game and is a well developed fighter, but it seems it doesn't have a large (or not dedicated) enough competitive community to support it. The neglecting of it's locals kind of crush its potential at majors.

But when I think about that, Killer Instinct is in the similar boat as Skullgirls. Though it has a good community outside the standard FGC, it also has smaller tournament entries averaging only 20-40 or so players at majors. How it going to make it's impression at Evo. I don't see it getting over 200 entrants, especially with Injustice at the tournament.

Should just have Divekick instead ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Say what you will about Divekick but it does have more value, content, depth, funness (?), and fans than anything in Killer Instinct.

Seriously, whether Kyuubit was trolling or not, Divekick really DOES have more merit to be a main event game at Evo than the fraction of a game that is Killer Instinct.

Plus, how does Evo intend to get around the 24-hour DRM that everyone seemed to just forget about?

You're still hating on the console and, regardless of that, not seeing that Killer Instinct is a good fighter. It's of Arc System Works in quality of its development. Plenty of depth and creativeness. Fluid gameplay. Definitely better than any Capcom fighter made in the last 7-8 years (TvC is an exception). It's only fault, which isn't truly a fault to the game, is it being Xbox One exclusive.

And those DRM issues in December; there hasn't been a single complaint or anything about them interrupting a tournament since. So it seems it has been resolved for a while now (And I doubt the Evo officials would have the game there without considering that).

I like Killer Instinct as much as I like Street Fighter 4. Both are good games, but they have their flaws. Would rather play BlazBlue tbh (don't have a PS3 so no CP for me. That being said, the people who call KI bad because its a Xbox One exclusive are being silly. I really don't know how the game is gonna do at EVO, but it definitely won't be in the top 3 for entrants.

It's never been about that.
It's about it's being made by Double Helix, the geniuses between Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters and the GI Joe and Battleship video games.

That doesn't mean s*** about the actual game. That's on the devs. But the game itself is pretty solid.
