Bolshevik. Up-tilt is still a near perfect move:
- OTGs (hits downed opponents the ground)
- has a ducking animation at the start to whiff punish some moves.
- arcing slash with a hit-box ahead, above, and below Lloyd.
- priority to cleanly clash with moves at fair advantage.
- setups juggles at low percents, KOs averagely at 100%,

I don't think Lloyd is as braindead, but still potential one of the best characters. He still has easy auto-combos; it's just not simply revolving around Dash-Attack > Dash-Attack > IQ of 42 > Sonic Thrust. I don't think his KO nerf on his smashes will effect him that much; he didn't need to rely on them for effectively KO'ing before. But Up smash is still relatively strong. Tempest Cancel is gone, yet many players neglected this tech as Lloyd was still a demon without using it. And all of his other normals are still really good. Double Demon Fang feels unchanged and can still create an incredibly safe approach or forced shield pressure.

The recovery nerf is a godsend though. Zelda, Pikachu, and Falcon will counter-pick so hard now and eat Lloyd with gimps.

LOVE his new dash attack, still has really short start up frames and gives you an amazing juggle setup.
Also quite like his up b nerf, it allows you to think more creatively with your juggles rather than up b > n air > up b > n air.
He isn't as braindead, as Zalo said and as a Lloyd main, I'm really happy with his update.

For the sake of reviving this dead thread, did you know that when you D-Air onto a platform, you enter a sliding animation? This means that you have a few free frames to cancel into another move. This is great from approaches and creating space (e.g. D-Air into a S-Spec, which is what I use a lot to take a few stocks from my opponent and clear space between us.)
I'm making a video on it to explain furthur on this technique aswell as others that Lloyd can do :)

Why on earth do I get stunned if I jab Narutos clone mines?

This Dair cancel seems useful. Dair into Sonic Thrust is definetly painful.

Little bug-- When there's a bumper placed close to the ground and Lloyd uses Grave Blade (DSpec), he gets launched by the bumper, no matter how far away he is.

I know that priority is broken. If I try to Jab the mine, shouldnt there just be this bubble? Or does Jab move Lloyd into the mine?

I don't think it's an issue of priority so much as contact classification. My thought is that the clone mine doesn't recognize the Vorpal Sword and Lloyd as separate entities, and counts the sword as part of Lloyd.

...is what I wrote before I actually tested this and discovered that the clone doesn't go poof if Lloyd's jab hits it when his hand stays outside of its hitbox. If his hand gets too close to the clone, it goes poof.

Thanks! At least this makes somewhat sense... I guess Ill stay with FTilt though.

I just tested. If you stay far enough there is just a bubble and you don't get stunned. But if you stand too close, Lloyd'ss arm touches the kage bushin while he swings and he is stunned.

What ever happened to the Infinite "Tiger Blade > Dair > Tiger Blade" trick?

Dair cancelling is an Auto-cancel if I remember.

I think Sonic Thrust should be less safe.

Has Anyone noticed that you can dash-cancel ANYTIME in your dash? I was playing a match with a player I know, and I managed to clip him with my Dtilt.
