I went to the recital. My gf wanted to participate (she asked already a long time ago), so she came with some friends. While my gf danced and I took a break, 2 of her friends (who were dancers, but did not come to dance today) simply asked how was I her boyfriend. And those 2 didn't even have (and never have had) bf (they both stated it). But heh, I'm in love with a man (my best friend) anyway (everyone knows that; I think.).
