I like that section the way it is, it's a good way to get morons to start yelling at each other so you can ban 'em all together.

Looking at the votes says it all. There's really no point on having a departures section anymore from what you've all been saying, unless you're trying to provoke people to post about it when they leave.

Truthfully I think we should just leave things the way they are, but right now it looks like everyone else just want to get rid of the notion altogether

Removing the departure from the section won't do anything, and the real issue is the attentionwhores, not the people who actually leave.

HOWEVER

Permission to lock and warn when leave topics are posted outside of the departure section (since that should be done anyway) and I do not want any bans unless the person is raging about how they hate the place or something like that (since we don't want that coming back). I imagine in your head you're thinking "if they're going to leave, might as well ban them if they're not coming back anyway". Well, to me it should be "if they're going to leave, just let them leave and that's that". Unless it sounds like they're trying to start trouble as they're leaving there's no need to take any action
