Street Fighter 1 Ryu. Whoa. Also I was thinking of getting this. I'm not that much into fighting games but I did have fun with MvC2. What do you guys think?

The names "Frank" (most likely West) and "Dr. Octopus" were found in the code or something or other and are leading people to believe that these two will be DLC characters after Jill and Shuma.

^ Actually, Frank wasn't removed due to any technical difficulties or anything, it was "due to the fact that we've foreseen some extra work involved, just from the nature of his moves. We felt we could direct our resources to better use, so we've taken Frank out." Meaning "we stopped working on Frank because we wouldn't be able to finish him in time and we still have ten more moves to give to Dante."

Also, it's been said that to balance the roster due to Frank's removal, Capcom had to get rid of another character from the other side, which happens to be Dr. Octopus according to this information.

So yeah, Frank and Dr. Octopus were pretty late in development, and it's cheaper to release characters that are already made instead of completely new characters out of scratch, so it's safe to assume that these two will be DLC sometime soon.

I heard Shuma was the guy removed when Frank got the Axe.

So now that it's out, what are peoples' opinions on it?

Doc Ock sounds awesome, if he's DLC I'd probably main him. I actually can't belive nobody mentioned him yet.

Nope. Capcom fought for Shuma to be in, but Marvel didn't want him in. Marvel only agreed to have him put in when Capcom suggested making him DLC. So no, he was not on the roster when Frank was axed.

The stories differ a little, some say that, and others say he was cut to even the roster. It's all speculation really.
