Well I've been playing on a server called Spartacus lately and its really nuts, you start as a slave and work your way up and its full PVP. Either way the amount of effort put into all of the bukkit plugins and modifications probably took a month + to complete so I'm not really seeing the upside of it. What I would suggest is starting the server as plain ol' vanilla then once things start to get cluttered/boring a couple of the more interactive players could set up some sort of custom gameplay.

The server looks like it's close to me since i don't have a high ping.

But its laggy as $@#%, i'd play on a server in Australia than Spartacus

Well, playing MC on a netbook could affect that as well...

I don't get what you're implying here

Yeah, but when the full game comes out the discounted price is over and you have to pay the full $20:00. Just to save a few bucks, buy the game now if you don't have it.

Dude... the avergae player count on Spartacus is 40+ so I think it has nothing to do with where you live. I can also garauntee you that lots of the members are from different places, heck one of my newer faction members is from Norway.

If you bought the game in Beta you won't receive the full game update free
If you bought the game in Alpha you will receive the full game update free

Btw, server is available now, running in pure vanilla, but it'll do until the full game (finally) is released.
