Here are all the custom, completely from scratch, sprites that I've made over the past week or so. (I'm a beginner)
Mordecai:  Finn the Human:  He came out small for some reason, perhaps the size of the window that I was working in effected himRigby:  Dimentio:  Probably like one of my bestRobotnik:  I totally screwed up everything but the headScrafty:  This is my best IMOAzala:  -WIPasdf Guy: V1-  V2-  Aang:  Bad, just bad. UPDATE: Added a WIP sprite of Azala... came out bigger than I thought.

I think you should definitely work on your lineart. Shading works wonders, but it won't ever look good if the lineart isn't good.
On your newest WIP, you show you have great potential, and can do good lineart, but you do need to work on it. I think you should work on his feet a bit, they look unnatural. They're extremely non-foot-shaped. On another note, his eyes look almost like they're trying to focus on two slightly different areas. I think you should move the pupil of his right eye to the right a bit. _________________   |
