would be cool if they did a whole thing where you can play as the multiple other links created like young link and toon link all with their own moves and items

i'd dislike toon link because he'd look really, really out of place

they could always make like a bonus stage for him that has the whole Toon Link style for the whole level which i think would be damn cool

Brawl is a crossover between Nintendo franchises. Toon Link is there because he's from a different part of the Zelda series, and all characters are in a different style anyways. I would imagine Hyrule Warriors wouldn't be a crossover, and it's quite clear that this seems to be in Ocarina of Time's/Skyward Sword's look.
Imagine if Twilight Princess Link appeared in Wind Waker HD. He'd look really weird because he's in a more realistic style than the cartoony style that Toon Link is in.

From what we've seen Toon Link would not fit in.

It's not like brawl at all, since almost every character in brawl is a different style.

The X Warriors series is well known for having like 70 characters per game as of recently. Hopefully this won't be any different. Also, Dream Stages, which is literally 'Let's throw these characters with no relation into this scenario because we can.' Wouldn't be too out of place. At least it's not TP style. SS fits better than that.

Admittedly, I'd prefer other Zelda characters, like Sheik or Zelda (The series has it's share of ninjas and wizards). Stretching it would be the different races fighting, like Gorons or even Goron Link (Plenty of brawlers as well). This is just wishful thinking, though.

I've never played any of the dynasty warriors games, but don't you create your own characters?

That was the only reason I bought 6. There were like a million slots available. And that's along with the, again, 70ish characters.
