Im in this job corps program (their internet policies is why yall never see me in the IRC or in game anymore) and they a bunch of mandatory tests for certain diseases. One of them is HIV.
And I got a false positive result. Bruh I about shat McBrick.
So they are running more tests on me to make sure I don't have some other kind of disease that could have triggered the false positive. Hopefully I don't have lupus or something.
I know a lot of you don't care but I'm gonna update after those other results come in. Honestly I'm kinda worried right now, anyone knowledgeable about this sort of thing here?

I wish I knew anything about this type of situation. I know you won't be tested positive for any diseases...

dont worry dude, there's like, tons of reasons besides diseases that could've cause the false positive
a number of vaccinations for different diseases and things could be the reason...you get any vaccinations recently? i remember hearing that the flu could be a reason too a family member of mine had a similar situation and it turned out to be just a vaccination he got for the flu

they probably do! so much last time i got one (which is also the first time i got one) i was in pain for like a whole minute afterward then my arm was weak for a few hours and i ended up sick (which is apparently a known side effect) vaccinations are annoying

I just have a bad history with them, some nurses I've had push it in way too far and it hurts like f***. When they say "Oops, I've hit the bone." You have every right to freak out.

As I figured I don't have HIV, but they weren't testing for anything else.
Im not really flying off the handle and assuming that I actually have something else, its just that with these kinds of things I would really like to KNOW what caused the results to come back as they did.
I'm probably just worrying too much honestly.

I'm assuming you asked them about what else you might have that could have caused the false reading?

I asked and they gave me nothing. Only way I could find out is if I got myself checked for various stuff at some other clinic somewhere, and I'm still debating whether or not I should even worry about doing that.
