I think people would automatically nominate you if you were worthy enough.
There are reasons why my Tails for example is not on the list, or why Doqk is not here for Zelda or if M7 has never got nominated for BPtLF for Sonic( especially when you avoid fighting new f*** players. This can quite apply to me as well for now)
What you could do is just hang around, show people how "good" you are with that character and prove something

One thing that really upsets me is how you stay passive-aggressive. If I want to be recognized as the best at one char, I wouldn't say "I would like to nominate myself as..."
That's not how you make a statement.
No I'd say "I'm the f*** best Ichigo. I'm an example for the community. I will lead people to get great with this character." If they don't agree, then prove them wrong. If you can't, then don't start a flame war but get better with that character!
THAT is how you fully deserve to be on this list.

"Best Player to Learn From" is not just a title. It's a responsibility.
It means taking in charge and inspiring players who aspires to become great with this character.
And that's why I'm kinda anxious every time I see my name especially on THAT list because my Metaknight is far from being on point.
