Logan was taken aback by the torrent of ideas that followed his simple suggestion. Carter, Evelyn, Adi and Alice each chimed in with a counter proposal, each more convoluted than the last. The junior considered charging in alone more than once before the exchange was through. Fortunately, a conclusion was reached before that happened.
After Alice had finished speaking, Logan joined her and the others she had named. He was a bit disappointed that he wasn't going to be fighting alongside Evelyn and Carter, but beggars couldn't be choosers. Aside from that, the only real quarrel he had with the lineup was that he would be on the same team as Maximilian.
While the newcomer seemed friendly enough, there was something about him that rubbed Logan the wrong way. The freshman's thinly veiled insincerity did little to make him seem more pleasant. For the time being, though, the junior would just have to tolerate the unsavory company.

"Alright form up behind me and try not to lose sight of each other."

It seemed that Adi was already mobilizing his group. Just as well. Logan was eager to get underway.
"Well, nae time like the present." He said, turning to follow after Adi's group. He was weary of waiting.

Carter, ready to take on some ghosts held one dagger up and the other down, he did this so he could punch the ghosts with the spiked knuckles then swipe to cut them with the blade. This gunna be so totally rad. Carter winked at the other group, as a sign of good luck. " ALRIGHTY THEN. LET'S GO MAKES SOME GHOST STEW!"

Deciding on how the group would split up seemed to be a much larger issue than it should have been, but never the less they decided on two groups. Li was with Alice, Logan, and the transfer student. From what Li has seen of the new guy, he seemed quite smart, but that intellect got to his head a bit too much. Li walked over next to Alice ready to take a role of leadership.

The groups were barely formed, and already Logan was wandering off on his own. "... Hey, you're with us, remember?" Alice said as both groups began their sweep of the apartments. The others were already preparing to go through the first door. "Let's head to the next one then. Li, if you feel anything strange, please let me know." Luckily the corridor was wide and easy to maneuver in. Slowly she opened the second door, and cautiously took a few steps into the room.

He felt nothing so far as he probed in. Of course, not all spirits were explicitly evil per se, so he'd have to have someone else do a more thorough sweep of the area, and who better else than the juniors. He beckoned for St. Augustine.

"St. Augustine you're up, I need you to do a thorough sweep with the others, I'll do a preliminary scan of the next room."

With that, he moved past the door and went to the next one, reaching out and grasping for signs of evil if there was one.

Nodding obediently, Evelyn walked towards another set of doors while heightening her senses. Even before she opened the door, she could feel spiritual activity. She stepped backwards out of instinct as the door flew open and various howling voices and mischievous laughter escaped from the room followed by a rushing wind and various floating objects. Sharp utensils aligned themselves in their direction hovering momentarily before they took flight towards the group. Meanwhile, the ghosts behind the shenanigan materialized, revealing a family of five dressed in floral print vacation wear.

As Alice opened the door, she found that all the furniture in the room was stuck onto the ceiling except for a small table and chair in which sat an elderly woman sipping a cup of tea. She turned her face slowly to the girl revealing two blue fires where her eyes would've been and she shouted:

"Get out!" the door slamming itself in the girl's face.

Logan stifled a chuckle as Alice had a door slammed in her face.
"Awrite, I've got this one." The junior said, bringing his shield to bear. Before anyone else could protest, he backed up and slammed bodily into the door with his shoulder. Not surprisingly, the shield fazed right through the door. Logan may as well have been hitting it with his bare arm. In fact, that was precisely what he was doing. The shock of the impact sent the junior reeling as his targe dissipated into thin air. The door hadn't budged.
"Um, mehbeh we should try knocking first." He said, absently ruffling his hair.

His scan immediately alerted him to the danger behind the door that his junior walked up to. Unlucky really as it flew open and sharp utensils followed. Deeming himself too far to help as the flying implements flew, he turned his attention to the family of five instead. His left hand reached for the spray at his belt and charged trying to close enough so that he could use it.

Alice grimaced as Logan charged straight into the door. "Ouch," She said. "Well you've got the right idea. Almost. Ghosts like to throw things, so you should save the shield for that. Anyway, the ghost had all the furniture on the ceiling. If we charge in there she's probably going to drop it on us, so I think we should give knocking a try." She turned to Li and Maximilian. "You can go ahead and check the room across the hall if you'd like."
The girl knocked on the door calmly. The spirit was obviously quite eccentric, but Alice would prefer being civil over having a dresser thrown at her any day.

((Apologies for the lack of posting, I'm still away from my computer and quite busy. Once August rolls around (the month, not my character) things will be back to normal.))

August had followed the group without a word, uncharacteristic for him. This whole ghost thing was wearing him down mentally, and frankly he was past the point of caring. Once Miss Rachel had left them, the other students immediately set to bickering about the best way to tackle their assigned task. In the end, they decided to split into two groups, neither of which included him. Rather than follow either team like a lost sheep, August opted to head down the hallway in the opposite direction. Mumbling the necessary words, he summoned the iron rapier that he had selected from the club weapon vault and entered the first door on the left, weapon at the ready.

As soon as Alice knocked on the door, the door creaked open once again with the lady sitting in the room sipping her tea. A chair fell from the ceiling onto the ground violently but it did not break. The old woman turned towards Alice with a smile and her fiery blue eyes.

"Ah Beatrice! Come in, come in, my child. We were just about to have tea" spoke the old woman sweetly.

Upon Adi's advancement one of the children, a tall and lanky youth, flew towards him with a wicked grin. His teeth however were razor sharp blades and from behind them emitted an eerie green light. The other two children, both young girls, and twins by the look of it each chose a target in Johnathan and Carter. They laughed mischievously as they flew in their direction while holding hands. The parents on the other hand, the father fat and round, and the mother, ridiculously voluptuous with a flowing scarf around her neck, rested on her husbands arm. All of their eyes glowed red with malice.


As August entered the room he heard jovial laughter, though the room was empty sans a lively fireplace. A counter then appeared in the room, followed by a barkeeper and a man in a brown trench coat who sat at the bar laughing.

Evelyn flew out of range of the flying utensils, followed by ghostly howls of surprise, to which she smirked. The utensils curved and redirected their path though before they could plunge themselves into her, Evelyn created a light wisp and knocked them into the wall with a twang. The initial threat removed, Evelyn swivelled mid-flight while calling out "Ad amar" causing her halberd to materialize in her hand as she flew towards the ghostly couple.

Logan had to admit that he was curoius about all the racket coming from the room Adi's group had entered, but he figured that they would be able to handle it. Maybe later, he'd ask Evelyn what manner of intriguing ghouls she had encountered.
In the meantime, Alice was giving him a bit of ghostly insight. He made a mental note to keep his shield at the ready. She also told Li and William that they could venture off to check another door if they so wished. After that, the upperclassman proceeded to knock on the door. Perhaps she didn't comprehend that his earlier statement had been a joke? Sure enough, though, the door yielded to her soft rapping. Logan was agape, though when he thought about it, he knew that he really should have seen this coming. Ghosts were so odd.
The elderly looking specter beckoned the girl into the room, calling her by the name "Beatrice". Immensely confused, Logan simply followed Alice's lead.

The door to the room opened up before Li could respond to Alice's proposal. He didn't think it was a good idea to split even further after the entire debate about it. After seeing what was behind the door, Li knew it was probably for the best that they stay together.

"I thought we established that splitting up into small groups was a bad idea. After seeing what's inside here and hearing the noises from the other rooms, lets stick together," Li told Alice.

That was that then. With Li presently against the idea of diverging away from the assembly Maximilian decided he would simply back away from the group which had congregated around Alice and find a decent place to wait away from the door. At this rate there would be nothing for him to do but spectate and even then Maximilian showed little fascination.

Jumping out of the way to avoid getting stabbed by the utensils, he then hears a twang sound. Looking up, he finds that the utensils were no longer a problem. Noticing the ghostly family of 5, he sees Adi and Evelyn both charging at them. At first he started to charge at them too, but stopped at the realization that it would become to much of a cluster. And the door didn't look like more than 2 people could pass through at a time. Still, it couldn't hurt to have backup. He then follows closely behind the duo with his Billhooks in hand.
