I like it, though I do think it might be better to shrink him down a bit. Are those placeholder colors?

The colors are the dark tones.
And thanks for the comment.

Shrunken down and shaded. I already have an idea on how to do the hair, but the hands are gonna be a pain in the arse.

Update to the Zero Sprite, with Ult. Form and Omega Palettes cause Wynaut. And a little suggestion: I'm not sure how coloring works in flash, but this is a process that used in MUGEN when color limits is a problem. Separating different limbs and parts can allow more creative color options, so we won't have Charcoal Sora and Slightly Lighter Marth lol. This is usually a very long process, but large fighting game sprites are usually used in MUGEN. Since these sprites are smaller, and don't have huge frame counts for most of the time, this process shouldn't take as long. It can also be very simplistic, like only separating Mario's eyes, hair, and gloves, or Separating only ZSS's boots and eyes, with the boots sharing colors with her gloves. Anyways, suggestions, thoughts, comments, etc.

Flash or not, I think this is a good habit. Limiting colors can help improve attention to detail in my experience.

I've seen people not understand how the different colours are done in SSF2 quite a bit, and rather than trying to explain it (which I'm bad at), I finally decided to just make this thing, so you can see for yourself how it works. There's 4 variables that are changed and you can change them here, with sliders. Link to Flash ThingThe issue is that this system cannot add colour. So if a colour on a sprite is any shade of white, black, grey, no amount of changing these variables will make it anything other than a different shade of that. This makes characters like Sora (whose clothes are mostly black) difficult to change the look of, without it just looking strange. I've had an idea before, which could make it look less strange, but still not being perfect. Though, like any change, would require a lot of fiddling and effort. This idea being to have two layers to characters, a layer that has these effects put on it (clothes, hair), and a layer that doesn't (skin). Since I've never actually worked on SSF2, I have no idea how much work this would be. But it'd be a lot, no matter what, because all the sprites would have to be reworked.

In spite of the many times I've tried replicating this idle, it's still incredibly tedious. There may be some problems here and there, but I could never this f*** of an idle to look correct. C+C is welcomed. Still a wip, but these frames are final.

The shift/tapping that he's doing with his front foot seems a little awkward and unneeded IMO. The flashing chest seems unneeded as well. His torso just seems to kind of stretch backwards awkwardly. Try having some my arm movement. But still, this is a wonderful improvement. I don't think I've ever seen you try an animation.
EDIT: Just looked back and forgot about all that stuff I saw previously.. But still, I like where you're going dude.

Tried to make it more hunched. Also, should I change the head?

I think it'd be best. At this angle it makes it look like there's one spike (?) on his head.

Minor fix. Moved the torso back 1 pixel. I wanna redo the head, but I'm not sure how to.

I feel like the sprite should have more resemblances to the original sprite, but not too many.
