Charisma let out a heavy sigh. She did not mean to nearly strike the woman's head, she was aiming for Barbas. He's coming with us? She wasn't fond of J, after all, the man did fall on top of her and nearly suffocate her. Another sigh was released as she turned to Julius. "Julius," She began. "What are we going to do for the night?" Shee asked him, her eyelids getting heavier as time passed. She already knew the answer to the question, but she was hoping that theu wouldn't have to sleep outside like last night, nothing but a fire and her robe to keep them warm.

As the heap of dead bodies grew, the skies above got darker. Zesper was doing quite the job of making sure no body in the area was missed. As he went about his dirty work, Zesper often glanced down at a body he was dragging, only to realize he knew that person, whether it be a associate, rival, or even a companion. Even when he made these disturbing discoveries, he always kept a stern face on, remembering a word of advice from long ago; "A man is at his weakest when he shows emotion." This was just one of the many guidelines that Zesper lived by.

Throughout his job, Zesper was often warned by the survivor (who Zesper remembered his name was Tekun) to stop. But Zesper just ignored the warnings, always thinking to himself "this is for their own good..." The orange-haired annoyance even tried to help once, but gave up after the first corpse. A little while later, Zesper was once again interrupted by Tekun and his female friend. Tekun claimed that night was coming, and that it wasn't safe there anymore. Zesper tilted his head and stared skyward. He hadn't noticed just how dark it was really getting. Then he shifted his gaze from the sky, to the pile, and then back to Tekun. "Hold that thought..." Zesper said in a low, gruff tone as he turned his attention back to the bodies. Now that he had the corpses all in one place, he would now have to dispose of them.

Spying a discarded torch lying on the ground a few paces away from his feet, Zesper bent over to pick it up. It had not been used yet (to his relief), and was perfect to use on the bodies. With one fluid motion, he struck the head of the torch across his breastplate, creating sparks that immediately engulfed the torch in flames. (A trick he had learned in his early years of being a mercenary.) Then he lazily tossed the flaming torch into the rotting pile, starting it on fire. He gave the burning pile one last, long stare, before turning his attention back to Tekun.
"Where did you have in mind?..." Zesper muttered, as he stared down at the boy.

Tekun drew his blade as he began to approach Zesper, a new anger in his eyes as he watched several kin be burned. An insult to him and complete disrespect in his view.

"I told you not to do it!" Tekun shouted in rage. "What's wrong with you! You disrespect me and my kin, and not only that, you endanger our lives! Put it out now!"

Leon followed silently behind Lex, making sure he was unseen as Lex darted down the trail, only to fall a** over head. When all was finished, he couldn't help but chuckle, eventually that chuckle turned into a loud laugh, as he approached Lex, resting now at the bottom of a hill.

"You done burning that energy?" He bellowed.


"We're gonna have to get away from here. Demons in that village. I dare not stay anywhere near it." Julius said glancing over to the town again. "We'll go as far as we can, maybe we'll luck out and find a village, or somekind of shelter."

Tania stepped between Tekun and the man, raising her hand for him to stop before he did anything brash. The stench of the burning flesh was horrid but as a lady she must put aside her emotions for the immediate situation. She wondered where Rana was but Tekun had to be calmed down. She placed her hand on his shoulder sympathetically, "I know he went against your wishes, but we mustn't fight, not now" she looked over her shoulder back at the man "We need to all work together, our path, wherever it may lead us, will not be an easy one, and teamwork is a necessity."

Windy trotted from where she was talking to Black King and returned to Tania's side. She rubbed her head against Tania's shoulder to signal that she had arrived. The bodies were gone, but the horror of the town still frightened her, especially now that the sun had almost set and the moon, large and full was rising high into the sky.

Lex angrily turned to Leon, but calmed immediately after seeing no point in madness. Closing his eyes, he sighed.

"Fine.. my energy has been used.. 'course you see fit to chortle at every mishap. T'would almost have been a pastime of yours, if I were not mistaken." He stilled his breath, keeping inconveniences to himself, as he silently slid down the path once more. He straightened his belt and turned back to his partner. "The village, then?" The words rolled off of his tongue as he dashed out of sight.

J turned Julius, still pissed off from earlier. "Look, you don't understand the priority this thing has. I need to get to a town to deliver this or something bad will happen....let's just say it's for a friend..." he told Julius. "Also, I'd rather work on my own than be in a group. I don't even think most of your group likes me, and I know what happens when a group doesn't get along..." He looked in the direction he was heading, he couldn't see much beyond the horizon. There was supposed to be another village not too far away, if he could find it, he could get going faster.

"A delivery to another town." Julius questioned. "Wait! If its not too far, could you lead us there." Julius was hoping to get to a village, somewhere safe, if not for his safe, but for Alice and Charismas.

"Fine fine." Leon said as he stopped laughing and headedback to camp. "Just let me grab my armor and s***." As he headed back, he saw he had forgotten to put out the fire, he decided not to make that mistake twice, he doused the fire and then put on his armor and returned.

There was an inhuman cry in the distance, a howl of some sort. Tekun clung to Tania. He just wanted to get out of there, his hide and those he cared about lives were far more important then the dead's wishes and his clan's respect. "We need to leave."

A few moments after Alice got up, and heard Julius's and the drunkard's conversation. She scowled at the drunkard and realized Julius wanted something from him, but took disgust in him anyway.
"Tch," Alice let out.

Tania climbed up onto Windy's back, night was quickly falling upon them and she refused to sleep in the desolate town. "Ok Tekun lets go" she said looking over her shoulder worriedly, she was not in the mood for fighting for her life. "Do you want to hitch a ride?" she said indicating Windy's back.

J turned away from Julius, and began to walk away. "I'd rather not work with a fragile person." making remarks about how he thought Julius looked weak. "It gets hardcore when you are alongside me." he said that, slightly gloating, slightly truthful. He began to walk away, but stopped, hoping to try to spark a deal with the group. "I'll lead you to the village...you give me something good in exchange..." he smirked.

Serene Looked around as they neared the rest of the group, she was still thinking about Black King, and was worried he flew too far away in anger. She was so worried she began to squeeze against Eton tighter, forgetting she was holding onto him. She didn't notice him at the moment anyway, she was too worried about her friend.

OOC: Sorry I'm not posting much; I've not been able to get on as often lately...

Rana twisted his finger, adding a final touch to the pattern scratched into the dirt. He didn't want to move, and he didn't want to go and see whatever was burning. The others would care for themselves if it didn't spread. It wasn't magical in the least; perhaps they had built a bonfire for the night. He was tired, after all, and he felt sickly.


Gabriel stared longingly at the blaze, dreaming hazily of the fires back at home. He had made a big one once, when he had burned his uncle's home. He smiled a little, admiring the complexity and perfectness of the glowing flares and curls.
"Gabriel." Lucifer whispered. "They are getting on the bird..."
Gabriel's eyes focused on Windy, her plumage illuminated by the fire. The giant bird looked like a dove. A dove with four legs and hair. He tilted his head.
"Gabriel." Lucifer's invisible hand touched his shoulder. "They are getting on the bird."
Gabriel yelped. "Stop!" He stumbled forward, holding up his silk robe so as not to trip, and waved at the boy and girl who had attacked him with the plate. There were bad things in that town, they couldn't leave without him! "Stop!" Gabriel screamed, his voice cracking and his eyes bulging, gibbous and desperate.

Just when things were looking to get messy, brown haired girl stepped in the way and pulled Tenkun off to the side to explain something to him. After a few seconds of whispering and uneasy glances at Zesper, the pair finally came to conclusion that they needed to get their behinds out of the desolate village. Suddenly the Pegasus he had seen a while earlier walked right up to the girl. Zesper was in the middle of unsheathing his sword, when to his surprise, the girl and Tekun calmly climbed up onto it's snow white back. The cavalier eyes widened slightly at a sudden realization. "The girl... Why didn't I see this before? She's a Pegasus knight, I'm sure of it... I've had encounters with her kind before. They were always poking fun at at wyvern riders like m-" Zesper suddenly groaned and clasped his clawed hands over his head in pain. Memories from the past flooded his head, causing him extreme guilt, so much, that it pained him.

For a few moments, he did nothing but hold his head, moaning. Finally, he was able to regain his composure, and looked back up at the winged horse. When he did, Zesper met the eyes of the female knight. "Do you want to hitch a ride?" she asked him. By the look on her face, she wasn't so keen on staying here any longer. Zesper looked over his shoulder at the now flaming heap of corpes that perfumed the air with a sickening scent. Shifting his gaze, he looked at the orange-haired youth, and the deranged priest. "If I'm not mistaken, I don't think they're too keen on the whole "stay behind" idea either..." Then, with a sigh, Zesper stared back up at the girl. "Thanks..." he said quietly, taking up her offer. And with a swish of his cape, and a clank of his regal armor, he went to go climb up onto her Pegasus.

Lex stood impatiently atop a boulder, tapping his left foot. He stopped after exactly 40 taps, that being the maximum allowed before wasting too much energy. Eventually, Leon trudged over the rise, allowing Lex to continue further down the path.

"I haven't the slightest as to why you'd wear such burdening armor. It must be a hassle," he sighed. "not to mention you have several other bags of items weighing you down. I really don't see the point in it all. Just use what you need and get rid of the rest. Well, I guess you could keep some rations..." His voice trailed off. He had noticed noises from before that seemed rather far away, but he had essentially paid them no heed. He quieted himself suddenly and headed toward the town not caring if Leon was at his heels or not.

"Heh! Let's see you take a good blow with that clothing. That cloth isn't gonna do ya good if I take a sword to it." Leon said following Lex. Also, I can carry this extra stuff. Not all of it is food though." He gave a sly and devilish grin. "Several special things in here."

"God damn it! I'm not a weakling!" Julius exclaimed in a short burst of anger and then caught his breath. "I just want to get to the next village so we don't get killed by raiders or demons." He sighed. "What did you have in mind." He crossed his arms and looked at the ground, aware that Alice had made a sound of disgust. He was getting sick of this way of treatment.


There were two more howls in the distance, and then another large one. Something was coming. Tekun held on to Tania with fear of what it was. Too many creatures, that and other undesirable things. That man had hoped on as well, he didn't like it but he had to make due. Eton heard these as well. He clenched his dagger as he held Serene with his other arm as she clung on. He wondered if the pegasus would really leave them to face such a thing.
