You may only post every fifth time. That means a minimum of four different people must be between each of your posts. This is to limit the number of people who post every other user. That is considered spam and post-whoring and you will be warned.

Remake of the original Random Brawl game by Gyokokaru.

RULES:
- Anyone can join.
- Start with 10 lives.
- 30% max hit in one strike or combo. (the only exception to this rule is when doing a Final Smash.)
- You can defend, but the damage done is halved.
- Choose a Brawl charachter, or make up your own.
- No dodging.
- Chars from other SSB games are allowed.
- When you run out of lives, you will come back to life with ten lives.
- Blocking can be done once per life.
- Because of the five-post rule, the same character can't be attacked twice in a row to prevent cheapness.
Note: PSN(Poison,) does 5% damage to you for five turns.
Note2: BRN(Burn) does 5% damage to you for 10 turns.

The current stage is Battlefield, no items.

I join as Zero (Mega Man X).

The fight will begin once four more people have joined.

It's basically exactly the same as the original Random Brawl forum game, it's basically a sort-of mock-RP battle in which we describe attacking one another for x amount of damage. For instance, I would perform a three hit combo on you that adds up to 6% damage.

Smash Bros. physics still apply, the higher your damage percentage is, the farther you get knocked back with each attack and if it gets over 300%, one good hit can instantly kill you.

The rules are already explained up above. Stage selection is currently limited to Battlefield. I might consider allowing stage changes sometime in the future...

Smash balls will be dropped at my own leisure (possibly once every certain number of posts.

And now that I think about it, wee need some restrictions regarding characters. Or more like statistics.

The way I see it, there would have to be three main stats in this game: Attack, Speed, and Durability. Attack and Speed are no-brainers, how strong your attacks are and how rapidly you can attack (which is just a fancy way of saying combos.)

Durability on the other hand is a just a little bit more complicated. Durability ties directly in with Weight Class and classification. Weight classes I shouldn't even have to taslk about. Classifications are as follows:

[*]Jack of All Stats: Balanced; average-ish good at everything, the best at nothing.
[*]Fragile Speedster: Weak but fast.
[*]Glass Cannon: Strone offense but weak defense.
[*]Lightning Bruiser: Strong, tough, and fast; frequently a Game Breaker unless balanced by some other weakness, such as range or cost.
[*]Mighty Glacier: Powerful and resistant, but slow.
[*]Stone Wall: Strong defense, but weak offense.
[*]Squishy Wizard: Weaker than average in all areas, but balanced out by special abilities that no other characters have.

In my character (Zero)'s case, he would be a glass cannon. He's strong and relatively quick but can get K.O.'d pretty easily, not unlike SSF2's Lloyd.

So basically, my Zero equals:
Weight Class: Heavyweight
Attack: 4.5/5
Speed: 3/5
Durability: 2/5

Does any of this make sense to you?

I guess it makes sense. Can you use expansion characters from the EF?

You can pick anyone you want, whether it's from a previous Smash Bros. game, SSF2, Crusade, or even a character who has never been in a Smash-like environment. Heck, I don't even care if you want to be one of the four fan characters. Anything goes! ;)

Okay, I pick the Buzzy Beetle expansion from the EF. I'll figure out the stats right now.

I dunno how to put this in your stats, but here is what I got:
Weight: 94, according to the Smash Wiki
Speed: 3.3, according to the Brawl wifi-tournament forums
Jump: 2.3, according to the Smash wiki

Fire attacks do half damage.
His down special, Noko Bombette, is an explosive counter.
He has a lot of multi-hit attacks.
A few heavy hitters, like his Spike Top Usmash, and his Buster Beetle Nspec, which works like Mega Man's Guts Arm, but freezing.
His Sspec, Shell Roll, is a chase attack like Sonic's Spin Dash.
Uspec, Parabuzzy, works like Pit's.
Final Smash is made up of an explosion, like at the beginning of Goku's FS, then he goes into a Final Form-like state where all damage and knockback is reduced to 20% of it's original amount, with no Hitstun.

I don't know how to out that into your standards.

It's easier easier when you choose an expansion, where the stats are listed for you in the OP of the topic.

OK, I know that 94 is slightly below average (Mario having a weight of 99)

EDIT: Wow, I was way off. I'm just going to post the average speeds and Jumps.
4.0 is average speed and 2.22 is average jump force. A jump force of 3.55 would allow you to jump as high as Falco (who has the highest Jump in Smash Bros. Brawl) and a speed of 1.9 would let you run as fast as Sonic. Conversely, a jump force of 1.44 and speed of 5.5 are the lowest respective ranks in Brawl (both of which belong to Jigglypuff, surprisingly enough).

That being said, your character would be as fast as Meta Knight (one of the top five fastest characters in Brawl excluding Sonic) and has slightly higher jump force than Mario.

Out of curiosity, what prevents players from performing 30% combos in every post?

It's just a rule that prevents unnecessary amounts of damage. It wouldn't be fair if everyone was doing 100% damage in every post.

Also, you don't HAVE to use a character from the Expansion forums, you can just take a character and make up your own stats for him/her/it.
