I speculate luffy to be an unlockable character in the final game. Haven't given up on him yet. One more anime character wont hurt.

If ANY other Anime character will get in, it will be Luffy.

There are other just as good if not better candidates. He doesn't need to be in to complete the shonen 4. I can't deny that he has hella moveset potential tho, but so does every other character that was in Jump Superstars and Jump ultimate stars, hell they even have sprites ready to use too. Would be cool to have Yugi Motou, or Seiya in this game. Seiya's final smash could be donning the Pegasus God Cloth! And Yugi could summon all 3 god cards to unleash a super powerful blast, he could use his ragnarok card that calls upon all the monsters in his deck, or he could just summon dark magician to do a dark magic attack. A character based upon summoning instead of just directly attacking would be a very unique character not only for this game but for smash in general. If any other anime character got in, yugi is the one I would most hope for.

I think we have enough anime characters already...
But I have unconventional tastes like saying that Lip from Panel de Pon can be a creative choice

Also, one other character that would be awesome would be InuYasha!

Seriously, f%^@ Luffy. I don't understand the obsession, I get it, you like the anime but it almost seems unhealthy to be so attached to a tv character.

Anyway, speculating Krystal from the Star Fox series.

Hoping for a Link semi-clone, just because you can go so many different directions when it comes to a moveset. If they do make a link clone, i'd like to see some items from the early Zelda games being implemented.

Hey man, I agree with you, but most of the roster is video game characters.

I Love One Piece its one of my favorite animes. Yes I want Luffy in more than anyone else actually, but that being said I'd understand if he didn't make the cut and I wouldn't go on a rampage if he didn't. I'm okay either way, but I haven't heard anything said when people ask for Shadow or Knuckles. They have less of a chance to be in the game, but if someone said they want Luffy there's always someone who disses. I really don't get it, but I guess we can agree to disagree on this one

This thread was made for wishful thinking, so lets let all those who want Luffy, or Shadow or Simon Belmont have there fun even if we know there chances are slimmer than a Slim Jim.

Would be nice to see Gintoki from Gintama.

Sadly, there will be no more Anime characters in the main game, possibly except for Luffy. Although, I think Gintoki would be awesome!

Luffy might've already been set in stone for the final game to be the last anime character before they announced no more anime characters, yet he may not have. who knows?
