Witcher 3 won game of the year last year. This year, they're nominating the DLC.

Their cutoff was in November, Xenoblade X wasn't out (in English) until December

imo we should hold off on talking about this until The Last Guardian is out so we don't have the same problem

Yeah, they're having their awards show on the first day of December. If we do this one the way we did last year, it'll be one vote a day counting down to the game of the year vote on the 31st.

Really, the official nominations are heavily biased towards anything that came out in the beginning or end of the year. I'm surprised Oxenfree made the running.

It's been a solid year for "yeah, it's pretty good" games, just a weak year for "holy s*** this is amazing" games

Since the Game Awards got bullied into removing AM2R and Pokemon Uranium from their vote for Best Fan Creation, I suppose we should nominate them for our own vote. Anyone opposed?
