Tania patted Windy's leg gently letting her know that she was safe now. Windy snorted, and reluctantly took her wings from around Tania. Tania stood up and brushed the dirt of off her hands and legs, she experimentally inhaled, forgetting the gruesome scene around her. She winced slightly, her chest still hurt, it was probably bruised from the crazy man's foot. She tapped Rana on his shoulder his mind seemed to be in another place "What happened to him?" she asked, Tania had not seen Tara's magical attack of the man.

OOC: Damn, want to make a post right now and get J into thsi big ol mess, but I can't figure out what's going on in Julius' group.

Black King woke up from his sleep. He hesitantly poked his head outside of the enclosed area he was in, and he looked around. He couldn't decide whether to stay there or go outside, and remained looking outside. He stuck out so much, that you could see him from 20 feet away.

Charisma wasn't sure that she could hold his weight, but nodded her head. "S-Sure." She stuttered. "But.. Where are we going?" She questioned. She wasn't sure to head into the village, or to stay outside. It was cold, and night was falling.


Barbas smirked once more as he cracked his neck. "Come on then, I know you're there." He moved his body in a cicle, scouting the area. his bow was pulled back, and his eyes narrowed.

Eton looked up for but a moment and saw the black pegasus. He got to his feet and began to approach slowly and cautiously.

"Um...Black King, come here, we've been looking everywhere, Serene's worried sick."


"i don't know, i'll admit it, i'm afraid, but we can't stay here, it,s not safe. Is someone there?" Julius said shifting his weight to make it easier on Charisma. Nearby, he thought he saw someone hiding.

There was a loud crash and then something came out of a building, on fire, unphased by it, an imp. A brown humanoid demon. It hissed and charged Barbas.

Black King turned his head to see Eton, though he only thought of him as a greedy thief. He didn't trust Eton one bit. He slowly moved towards him, with another thing in his mind he was intent on doing.

J stumbled along a path. He was still slightly drunk from earlier, and he could barely keep his pants on. He grinned, thinking about the night before with all the women. "What a night...what a night..." he repeated over to himself. He held his hatchet loosely, as he was drunk, and he didn't realize that he was still holding it.

"Julius, no one is there." Charisma was worried that he was seeing things. "Come on, we should get going." She took a step forward, walking with Julius.


Barbas blinked. "Wasn't expecting that." He muttered, releasing his bow. The arrow sliced through the air, heading toward the creatures skull. He did not turn around upon firing, but instead reched for another arrow.

Tekun gave a nod to Tara to comfirm her question and approached Tania and Rana, Tania was hurt, but would recover.

"I'm sorry, I should have reacted faster. You alright?"

"That a boy." Eton said to the steed. "Why'd you run off, I offend ya or something, you gave us quite a scare."

"I don't know." Julius muttered limping with her. "My horse alright, I havn't seen it."

The arrow flew through the air, piercing its skull as it cast a fireball at Barbas. It fell leting out a death cry before burning away.

Barbas sighed, "That's it..." He mumbled, stepping to the side to avoid the burning ball of flames. He returned his bow to his back, noticing he only had six arrows remaining "Damn" He looked around the village, for a building that was intact and looked to be an armory or weapon shop of some sort.


Charisma wasn't sure how to tell him. "umm, I tried to tell you, but Barbas stopped me." She stopped with Julius. "The wyvern killed it." she told him. "I'm sorry..." Her face was uneasy as she gave Julius the bad news. "It was killed instantly."

Black King continued walking towards Eton, but stopped. He beckoned Eton to come closer to him. His plan would work out, it should. If he killed this man, Serene would have no reason to stay, and they could leave.

J heard what seemed like people talking in the distance, and stumbled towards where they were coming from. He now dragged his hatchet, too drunk to not care about the extra resistance that ground would give him. He felt around his pants for his novel. "I could get some reading done later..." he thought to himself, finding the novel.

Somewhere near the Black Horizon ruins...

The mountains were eerily quiet as a lone, caped man carefully made his way around hazardous rock formations. Zesper Gastronburg was returning from a unsuccessful solo raid on a small village north from his location. The village had already been raided by someone else and anything worth taking was already plundered. "It's been that way with most of the small villages I've come across of late..." he thought as he followed a small dirt path. The Black Horizon had given him a test to see if he could handle raiding a village on his own and bring back at least twenty items of value. If he were to of succeeded, he would of gotten a raise in his payment. Raiding was one of the various services he provided the clan with, but lately, even the clan members were having a tough time finding villages that weren't already ransacked.

As he neared the clan location, Zesper became aware of an odd stench that perfumed the air. At first, he thought that his nose was deceiving him, but as he neared the Black Horizon, there was no mistake. "This is the foul stench of death..." Zesper thought grimly to himself, as he slowly unsheathed his sword from it's sheath on his left hip. As soon as the town of the Black Horizon came into view, Zesper became witness to a gruesome sight. The entire clan was scattered around on the ground as far as the eye could see, dead. Each body telling a different variation of the same same fate. Now that he looked at the buildings, they were nearly destroyed too. Some with broken windows, and caved in roofs, others lie in piles of smoldering rubble. "What went on here while I was gone?!" Zesper wondered in amazement. He wasn't even terrified, he was bewildered that a clan like the Black Horizon that he had worked with for years now, had suddenly been wiped off the face of the planet in what seemed to be overnight.
Suddenly a scream of anguish echoed throughout the ghost town. The noise brought Zesper back to a state of alertness, as he quickly got into a traditional swordsman's stance. "Survivors?" he mused. There was a possibility that there could be survivors. "They might know what took place here... It would be in my best interest to find them before anyone... or anything else does..." And with that, Zesper dashed off down the vacant streets as fast as his armor would allow him, his cape flapping behind, searching for the origins of the scream.

All the smoke and ash from the fireball obscured Alice's vision completely, as it was already impaired before. Now she couldn't see anything, and the sizzling and ash from the fireball disrupted her hearing and feeling as well. Though she was still paranoid, she planned to sneak away somehow when they were distracted with their conversation. Her luck wasn't too great, she walked in the completely wrong direction and bumped into Charisma-and nearly fell backwards in her surprise, though she lost her balance again and lightly fell to the ground. She put her two hands behind her in an attempt to push herself back up, but just realized that it was a person that disrupted her. Alice's mouth opened halfway, but no voice was heard, she was still too anxious and shocked to say anything to excuse herself.

The steed stopped and beckoned. It was odd but Eton didn't mind it. He began to approach. His first thought was something may have happened or might be wrong.

Tekun looked down the street to see a man running at them, he drew his weapon, he would not be caught off again. But as the man came into the distance he recognized him. He was the man his father had hired, Zesper. He dropped his blade in complete shock, another survivor.

Julius closed his eyes shut, he wanted to cry, but knew there would be a time for mourning later. the next thing he knew, someone had bumped into them, she was on the ground and stopped halfway through, almost in complete shock of seeing another person. A pale skinned women, a blind fold. This was probably the person he had seen hiding before.

"You alright?" He asked her.

Tania looked up to see why Tekun had drawn his weapon, and was surprised when he dropped his weapon in shock. "What's wrong?" asked Tania worriedly, though her chest still hurt, she quickly scanned the ground for her pan. She couldn't wait until she got out of the accursed town, bad things just always happened to follow them, perhaps one of them had called down a curse on them. She would also need to find a....non used lance to take for herself, she knew that the pan would not be able to last forever against someone like the demon knight.

Violet blew the hair that had fallen across her face and tucked it neatly behind one ear. Her pockets felt full from the last town she had performed at, they had made her stay for so many encores, she couldn't resist...though she didn't like it when the tavern keeper wanted her to stay and live in that village. No that wasn't her style, she was dust in the wind, going wherever it took her. She had seen a town from atop a hill when she was walking and immediately decided to head towards it, she would reach the town soon, and then her pockets would be even more filled. She was so happy Violet broke out into song "Oh! Life is rich and dandy, especially when you're me. Oh music's sweet as candy, cuz it make moneeey!" she laughed at her joke of a song.

There was a loud explosion, and she covered her ears, the town she had seen before was now in complete ruins. "Oh what a waste of a walk" she said, "Oh well time for an adventure I suppose" She entered the village from the opposite direction that the explosion had come from she didn't want to run into any battles. She looked around the abandoned ruins that were left of the village. "Hmm" pondered Violet, she took out her lute and plucked a few of its strings, humming a tune as she went through the village looking for treasures.

Alice, with her mouth still halfway gaping, snapped out of her shock, and closed her mouth, though it was still slightly visibly open. She noticed the man who was talking to her, and heard his voice was shaky and seething inward, as though he were about to cry.
"Y-yes," she replied in a whisper,
"I..a-apologize for interrupting.."
Alice's stream of consciousness was generating hundreds of ideas during that one minute, of all the things that could happen to her, right there, she even thought about things from here in the long run, her death, possible friendships from this, and other similar ones. When she realized this was one of the very first men who was telling her he was concerned, she didn't feel as anxious around him as the other men. She wanted to overlook this thought, but she couldn't take her mind off of it, and forgot that she was still sitting on the ground.
