This thread is so dead... Tails mains where yo - wait, nevermind...
@Maelstrom Chaos does the Moongliding pretty often iirc, and even if its just to style. What is that triangle jump youre speaking of?
To add something to this thread, I may have found something (long live Training Mode + Boredom) thats prolly already well known, but Im gonna put it here regardless.
Spindashing normally off a platform keeps your momentum as we all know. But if you Tailsdash off a platform, your momentum is negated once you leave the ground. Could be useful, but what do I know. Also, if anyone has trouble with BMs Dash Attack, FSmash clanks with it without any lag.

Have you tried holding spindash in air and normally releasing it off a platform? Tails will "wavedash", pretty much like an aerial version of Tailsdash. Of course different than what you mentioned. Try it. http://gfycat.com/FittingRingedHapukuAlso, if I get one more... Yeah, at least one more tech or something useful regarding Tails. I will drop the hell outta Fox and replace it by Tails. I am kinda annoyed with Fox now. Edit: @Chaos0 You can also do this out of dash. There's not much difference if you ask me (maybe platform drop Dtilt out of Tailsdash goes farther), still a bit more risky if you do this during Tailsdash. http://gfycat.com/ColossalBlueDuckbillcat

Hey guys. I am here still. Just been taking a break. I hope to maybe come back more later! (For sure when Beta is released).

His special needs a buff. His best attacks need a long charge. I love playing him due to the mobility and speed.

Side B is, well Side B, Up B is fine imo (although I wouldnt mind a KB increase on the last hit), and Spindash really doesnt need any buff imo. Tailsdash, KO move at high damage, travels far, is fast, decent priority etc. His best attacks need a long charge. Only Spindash does if you are going for a long distance version, which usually is telegraphed af. I seriously cannot name any other move, and I played this char for quite a while. Or Im just being me again, could be either way I love playing him due to the mobility and speed. | | | | |

I'm definitely looking forward to play as Beta Tails. Airlift really seems like the most disrespectful move I've ever seen haha I love it.

A bunch of younger people are going to complain about Tails being broken because they can't shield against him.
News flash for them: he's purposely designed as an anti-shield character. They should find other ways to deal with him.

Now he just needs slightly better grab range/better throws and then literally everyone will whine Had that random urge to play some Tails again yesterday (and actually the most matches with him for some reason during Smash Island), but quickly got stopped by (again). How do you usually handle that matchup and is there even a Tails main left to ask? So far I heard "rush him down hard", "stay patient and spam Spin Dash" and a few things inbetween, but I didnt get to test that out so far sadly. On another note, what are you guys expecting to see for BETA Tails, and more precisely, Airlift? I know Im hella late to that party, but I really hope its not as bad as Rem sold it a while ago. For me, I kinda hope that (if all directions get in) Airlift Up acts as a KO tool, Airlift Forward is a combo starter, Down maybe for edgeguarding and setting up techchases (Airlift Down -> reactionary Dair or something like that sounds cool), and Airlift Back just could be your generic GTFO move or something.

From what I've seen, it seems Airlift can be used infinitely in the air. Which means you can drag your opponent under the stage (if it's a floating stage of course) and just let him/her desperately try to recover while Tails can go back to the stage safely.
