Since Macromedia Flash 8 Professional is winning and I watched the video tutorials on it and they're good i'm going to pick that but you can still vote because if another one gets the most votes i'll just return it and get my money back and get another one.

Having used both, I already know how the question here goes.
First, they are the same exact program. Literally. Second, The basic version is lacking a large number of multimedia features, such as exporting and importing video. For any sane person's purposes, the basic version is perfectly fine.
