Windy neighed loudly, it echoed in the demolished village. She floated over to the boy whom her mistress had guarded. She knew how he felt she had wanted to kill Rana for being a weight and preventing her from protecting her mistress but now was not the time for more violence and loss. Windy glided over to Tekun's side her nostrils flaring and her wings whipping up wind she stomped her hooves and placed her head in front of Tekun's and gazed into his eyes hoping he would understand.

"I'll kill you because you killed my friend. A life for a life sounds reasonable enough."

Zesper let out a long, tired sigh and sadly shook his head. "You just don't get it at all... Do you, boy?... You had ample time to save your loved one, yet you weren't strong enough... And now you have no one to blame but yourself... I merely was looking out for you and your party by burning the bodies... You have no excuse to act irresponsibly." Then he shifted his head slightly to the side and spied the orange haired bandit lying unconscious a few yards away on the street "Your comrade lies wounded and is in need of medical attention... and all you can do... is fantasize about revenge?... You are truly a fool. I have no desire to fight a child..." And with a swish of his cape, slowly turned away from Tekun, sheathed his sword, and limped his way through the wreckage that used to be a house over to the thief.

When he got to him, Zesper knelled down one one knee, grunting from the pain it caused him, and felt the boy's wrist for a pulse. Satisfied by the the steady beat he felt, the cavalier went on to inspect the rest of the boy. There seemed to be numerous cuts and bruises all across his chest and back, most of the cuts were clogged by dirt, and could become infected if not tended to. Zesper had the means to treat the boy, but thought best not to do it in the ruined town. So with another grunt, Zesper leaned over to pick the bandit up with his good arm to sling him over his shoulder.

OOC: Permission to pick you up, Kerim?

OoC: Sure, but if you put him in the fire, I will hunt you down. With scissors.

Unless he turns into Two-face. That would be alright.

OOC: That would be kind of cool. It would make for some interesting conversations.

With relative ease, Zesper lifted the bandit up off the ground with his working arm, and gently slung him over his right shoulder. The cavalier looked down at his disconnected arm which was dangling at his side and sighed "I'm going to have to put it back into place the next chance I get..." he thought to himself grimly. Then he carefully rose back into a standing position, and turned to face Tekun, who was now accompanied by the Pegasus he had seen from before. Zesper then shrugged at Tekun, and gave him a stern gaze as if to say "You are the leader. Where to now?"

Tekun looked at the pegasus, it urged him not to go through with it, reminding him of what Tania would have wanted. He slowly reconsidered it.

"You just don't get it at all... Do you, boy?... You had ample time to save your loved one, yet you weren't strong enough... And now you have no one to blame but yourself... I merely was looking out for you and your party by burning the bodies... You have no excuse to act irresponsibly. Your comrade lies wounded and is in need of medical attention... and all you can do... is fantasize about revenge?... You are truly a fool. I have no desire to fight a child..."

With that Tekun snapped right there and then and turned in anger to turn to the cavalier who now carried Nechis over his shoulder.

"Looking out for us!" Tekun shouted in outrage. "Had you f*** listened to me in the first place none of this s*** would have happened, then you may have looked out for us. Here you are....preaching to me....about how i wasn't strong enough...about how I fantasize about killing you while he's wounded. There's a mad man with a healing stave over there dealing with the wounded. Why don't you wake the f*** up."

He began to approach.

"No desire to fight a child....This isn't an option!" He shouted and made a lunge towards Zesper with his blade, not caring about Nechis at the moment.

Barbas' eyes widened, as the sword came towards him. He threw the one arrow he had at Lex's eye, knowing that he would need to move out of the way from the arrow and cancel his swing. I'd rather live and waste an arrow, than die. The thought echoed in his mind, it was juts him and Lex, and the dulling down spell was wearing off. He was too far away from his bow, he needed to improvise.

OOC: I'm resisting the urge to use Nechis as a meat-shield... So far, it's not going very well...
Is any of the other characters besides the horse aware that a agnsty boy is trying to kill a crippled veteran mercenary who's trying to save a wounded party member? I mean, seriously!?

Zesper had gauged that this would be the reaction from the troubled boy, and was prepared to dodge, already in the motion of side-stepping when Tekun lunged. As the boy lunged harmlessly past him, Zesper aimed a chop of his left hand at the back of Tekun's neck, hoping to knock him out. He didn't know if he would be able to dodge anything else with the added weight of Nechis on his shoulder, if he didn't end this quickly. If he succeeded, he would have to carry Tekun too.

Tekun made a swing and missed and felt the back hand of Zesper hit his neck. He stumbled a bit, but turned around regaining his footing, the blow was not nearly enough to knock him out and turned around to make a stab at Zesper but missed completely through fustration alone. He cursed to himself. He wanted this man dead.

Zesper's chop had connected but it didn't have the results he was hoping for. Instead, Tekun stumbled and turned to slash at Zesper again, only to miss. The cavalier sighed and shook his head "I don't have time for games... This bandit needs medical attention." He thought to himself as he turned to go find the man with the healing sword Tekun spoke of earlier. As he walked away in a sort of a limp, Zesper spoke to the flustered boy behind him, without turning his head "There are more pressing matters at hand then your silly revenge..." but then Zesper suddenly stopped walking and stared down at his boots, with a look of remorse on his face. After what seemed like ages, Zesper looked over his free shoulder at Tekun, then he broke the silence. "...Though if you truly wish it, we could settle this matter another time..." Then he resumed walking, his long, black cape billowing in a sudden gust of wind, as he made his way over to the others.

Windy shook her head at the man he obviously had too much pride, it reminded her of Black King. She didn't want Tekun to react in a fit of rage so before he could do anything further to add to the bloodshed she grabbed onto the boy's tunic with her teeth and pulled him back she raised her wing to prevent him from bouncing up and running to the man, something the mother pegasi had done to stop their foals from charging into a fight. She whinnied at the boy as if she were scolding Tekun.

Black King slowly began to gallop towards Serene and Eton. He didn't know where else he could have left to, and decided to stick with his mistress for the time being, even though it meant having to be around the rouge. He stared at the two as he approached them. "She's not dead, but it looks like she is in terrible shape." he thought to himself.

The pegasus restrained Tekun, despite his movements. He didn't want to hurt the things, but it would be the only possible way to get free. He couldn't though. For Tania's sake. Tekun began to breathe deeply out of fustration, looking on as the man walked away from him.

"You best sleep lightly." He muttered to as he sat on the ground.

Eton looked at the pegasus as he held Serene.

"Well...there he is." He said to her, unsure of how to respond. He dare not interact with the thing, lest he get trampled again.

Julius sat there next to Charisma, half asleep. It wouldn't be long now before he simply passed out. He wondered what trials the next day would bring and realized just how stressted and tired he really was.

Lex had anticipated a counter and immediately turned and stabbed in a cross stance. It was unstable and dangerous, but had seemed to get the job done. The blade plunged into the archer's ribs as he twisted it. He could hear bone cracking as the rending of his foe's flesh sickeningly worsened, the skin tearing and ripping apart, life flowing from the wound. He felt no remorse. A bloodlust overcame him, his hand reached down and held Barbas's face. As he leaned closer, he licked his lips. "I didn't want to do this, you know." He grinned, a purely evil looking crooked line spreading across his face. With a final stab to the groin, he flung the blood from his blade and sheathed it. The moon's light reached him, causing the blood on Lex to glisten. He stood for what seemed to be an eternity before finally trudging forward. His heavy stomps gradually evolved into light bounds; the demonic grin had turned into a carefree smile. He did a quick turn and a book appeared in his hand. He opened it and squinted at the pages. "Alright... this way!" He did an elaborate pointing gesture and awkwardly walked in the direction of an old hut.

An Leon began to come around, standing away from him.

"Ugh...my head." He said alloud and looked around, seeing Violet and that insane women. He tried to get up but fell back with a loud clank.

"Damn, what a pain......Was I too much trouble?" He asked to Violet who was by the wall.

Charisma sat in front of the fire with a smile on her face, she now had confidence in what she was capable of and wanted to practice more.

"Julius, wait here alright. I forgot something." She said and then getting up, grabbing her spell book and heading off before Julius could say anything. He looked on as she rushed off. "At least she has confidence now." He said and then began to nod off. Charisma was now isolated and alone, reading from the tome and practicing. A creature was watching the group spying on them. This girl was isolated, it was time for him to make his move. From the shadows a grey mindlurk came out, a octopus like creature, one with ill intent. He brandished a spear and began to sneak up on her. She turned around to see the creature go in for a stab but stepped back and launched a fireball at it. The Mindflayer muttered something in deep speech, it's native language and dropped it's now a blaze weapon. It then rushed, in deperation, she misprenounced her spell and launched a powerful ice spell at the creature, freezing it solid. It fell over and shattered, her jaw dropped.

"How did I....do that." She muttered recalling the spell name, but as she did another creature came out. Another mindflayer, he looked at her angrily, but yet this one was different, it seemed more human like, a mutant perhaps. She made an attempt to mutter the same incantation but failed. as a reasult she felt her hand ice up, as well as her feet. She immedietly dropped the tome. Her feet and half of her shins were frozen, she couldn't move. She realized right there and then she was dead. She closed her eyes tight, tears streamed down her face as the creature approached.

"I'm so sorry Julius. If....only...I.." She stopped there as the creature grabbed her throat and looked her in the face. She struggled to breathe as it pulled up hard and broke the ice, leaving her legs to dangle in the air. It brought her closer to it's mouth and then wrapped the tentacles around her head and clamped on with it's jaw. She screamed but it was muffled. She struggled but then felt a crack and a sharp pain. She fell limp, dangling from it's mouth half awake. It knelt down, letting the dangling women lay on the ground numb with pain as it grasped her shoulder's. "Julius." She muttered as the tentacle's tightened and the creature brought more of her into it's mouth and cracked open the skull. She twitched and then blood began to run from her head and run down to the ground in small narrow streams as it began to suck out her brain and feed on the corpse.
