This looks incredible. I get a really strong Kaito Kid vibe from it, which is wonderful because I love Kaito Kid. Those menus. The characters. The music. Help me.

Something worth noting: the menu didn't have an "S.Link" submenu listed

So either Social Links are listed in some other menu or removed/replaced with some other system

Hopefully the latter. I'm not going to pretend I didn't like P3/P4 but we definitely need something different and scrapping Social Links would go a long way towards making it feel fresh. So would not having a school setting, but that's fine if it's contrasted with BEING A f*** PHANTOM THIEF lmao

Besides, Devil Survivor 2's Fate system was basically the same concept as Social Links but done a lot better. Might just have been because the game was shorter though, idk

This is giving off a lot of Catherine vibes to me.

Melee weapons and guns make it look like a regular SMT game. I also noticed them fighting Sandman and Pryo Jack, so shadows as regular enemies might be gone (wouldn't mind that at all).

While Persona 3/4 weren't my favorite SMT games, I'm really looking forward to this one.

i too had a lot of catherine vibes from it which is totally fine with me (i think they actually recycled Vincent's walk cycle)

only thing i'm not a fan of is that girl's thief outfit which looks kind of boring to me but whatever!

They definitely didn't reuse Vincent's walk cycle.

I thought about the cathrine similarities at first, but I mean it makes sense considering it's the same company, and we didn't have any main title persona games built for the ps3.

They made Catherine so that they could get used to using Gamebryo for a new Persona game

...and then they ended up using their own engine for P5 instead of Gamebryo anyway. Video game development is weird.

People have been saying that the protagonist looks awfully like Vincent and Katherine's theoretical child since his design was first revealed, plus they seem to hang around in a pretty similar bar at 1:18.

Vincent is actually in one of the SMT games as a side character, isn't he? Wouldn't be too out there.
