But so hyped for the newcomers and the graphics, 'specially U's. The 3DS's graphics looked weird at first with the outline, but after watching it a bit it seems like it'll fit quite nicely. Plus it gives it that cartoony feel that the first two SB games had. I think I'll get SSB3DS before I get SSBU (mainly because I don't have a Wii U yet herpa derp). I'd love to get U's first now that I've seen its graphics but I did originally want to get the 3DS one for its portability.

Well, isn't the Wii U portable? Or does it require the Wii? I thought it had a portable option with its games, but I don't know much about Wii U to be honest.

And the thick outlining, I think is to make everything just a little more noticeable on the comparably smaller 3DS screen.

Speaking of 3DS, how much do you think the 3D will be implemented in the graphics? (trust me, this is a serious question. Some games, like Mario Tennis, only allow 3D at certain times, and (talking about Mario Tennis here) when you use the up-front view, you can't use 3D, making the whole CONCEPT of 3D near useless)

Wii U was not intended to be portable, its a console much like the Wii. It doesnt require having a Wii at all. The portable option you might be thinking of is the Gamepad's screen. For some games you can play the game using the Gampad's screen instead of the TV, so if someone wants to watch TV, you dont have to stop playing to let them. The Gamepad's range doesnt extend very far though so...

I recall it being said that the black outlines for the characters in the 3DS version was implemented to prevent the player from losing sight of their character during gameplay.

I just downloaded the press kit of smash and the artworks are 10 more times bigger than the ones of the website, and with a great resolution, there's alot of details you can't perceive at first glance, but when you zoom them, OMG

I wish Conker and Banjo & Kazooie would appear on a smash bros. game they would be fun to play as.
