what's so hard about health? set it in the create event. take it away (relative of course) in collisions with enemies. use a step event to check how much health is left and destroy the object if no health is left.

Oh, be more specific next time. Just set up a global variable called "player_health" in some script. Then you can modify it from any enemy attacks or power-up code.

btw, I recommend that you go to the yoyogames forums for help. There are a LOT more experienced people there to help (no offense to you Sirtopiea).
