I don't think there's that much hate but yeah I don't understand it much either. I'm just really glad that she's in.

Same here. I wanted her over Chrom, and I am glad that although not playable, he's in as Robin's final smash which is cool.

"Waste of a spot" has quickly become a conversation ender for me.
I expected Chrom, but it looks like Lucina has the Parallel Falchion in a shape akin to Chrom's, so that's good to me. If anything is overloaded it's the blue-haired protagonists, but I can expect them all to have fun and expressive movesets.
Haters gonna hate.

Shulk still has a chance. Just because the Gematsu leak is now fake doesn't mean Shulk and the Chorus Men are out. Shulk is still likely, and I wouldn't rule out a RH rep either. My stance on that leak was neutral, even if I leaned towards the possibility of it being real, mind you.

Every single move and animation we see is the same as Marth's This includes three of her four specials She's a weird case. There's a reason she has a veteran-sized box on the website. I don't know exactly how Sakurai's handling her, but I'm really hoping he explains all this with tomorrow's pic. There's a lot of confusion.

Again I say so what? Just because she has some moves that are similar doesn't make her a complete clone. And exactly what is the reason for her having a smaller box on the website? Because she has 3 similar moves means she's not a newcomer? Really? Roy was a clone of Marth in melee. Did anyone complain? No. Instead, Roy is a highly requested character for this game. Edit: Looking at it again, yes they are similar moves to marth. BUT they are changed up enough to make them different.

We don't know if she's a total clone or not. No one but idiots are claiming they know for sure, and you shouldn't be getting riled up over idiots I don't know why she has a smaller box on the website, but it sets her apart from Robin and the other newcomers I never said she wasn't a newcomer. The website even calls her a newcomer. She's a newcomer Many, many people complained about the clones in Melee, Roy included. Melee was 13 years ago, nobody gives enough of a s*** to continue b**** about it And please, please explain how her moves are different than Marth's Quit getting defensive

Well for starters, her normal combo has a multi-slash finisher whereas marth only does 3 big slashes. Her neurtal air attack does 3 slashes, two in the front, one in the back. Marth only does two front slashes. Her Up B attack has a higher range and is quicker to activate. Like i said, they are similar, but those moves alone don't make her a complete clone.
In Awakening, she disguised herself as Marth, so it makes sense that she would have some moves that are similar because she was pretending to be him.
All I'm saying is that the people who complain about her need to look into it more before opening their mouths.

If you have to go into detail to explain why they're not too similar, then they're too similar.

The first move you're referring to is her forward special. It's the same as Marth's. It works the same way in Sm4sh as it did in Brawl and Melee. The up special seems about the same to me. Don't forget that you're comparing this to Sm4sh Marth, not Brawl Marth. He's changed. As for the nair, I can't tell for sure. Marth does a nair in this video, but I can't tell if he spins like Lucy does Either way the differences are so minor, if they exist, that nobody outside of a competitive atmosphere would even care. That's well and good for them but it makes some boring a** characters. At least Brawl kept that to a minimum. But like I said, we still don't know exactly what her situation is yet. Patience. Pic of the day soon.
